^ The song was absolutely beautiful! I really loved it!
I've also did a bit of research on how Núrn is ruled etc. But I couldn´t find that much info on it. The only usueful info I found was on another Lor dof the Rings RPG site (Shadows of Isildur) but I'm not sure whether it's made up or has some true foundation from Tolkien's tales. Anyway, I liked the way how they descibed Núrn so I though I´d share it with you..
Nurn:
The most prominent features of this territory is the large inland sea named the Sea of Nurnen, the "sea" in fact being a large basin that collects the water from four rivers that run from the northern Ered Lithui and southern Ephel Duath. Along the banks of these rivers and the Nurnen manors of Numenorean lords presiding over slaves of Gondorian, Dunael and Easterling descent farm crops and livestock. Nurn holds the few remaining pure-blooded Black Numenoreans, who spend most their times administering their estates, constructing more and more extravagant manors, and entertaining other Black Numenoreans from other manors. Each of the four Houses of Numenor lay claim to the lands about one of the four rivers, and they are named thusly; Saklithan, Nadilith, Krathas and Odulun.
There are no grand cities along the plains of Nurn, for the Black Numenoreans have long feared placing too many slaves in proximity to one another less they organise amongst one another and rebel; spread out between countless small villages and towns about the Nurnen and four rivers, the populace are kept in check by their overlords, and any individual village rebellions are put down by the massed regiments of Black Watch from the family in question.
Much of the extra food required by the Witchking for the Orkish Hordes when they march for war is produced by the farms of Nurn, and in return the Witchking lavishes upon the Black Numenoreans much gold, silver, and other resources that're mined in the deep tunnels of the Ephel Duath and Ered Lithui. The lands of Nurn are flat, and well tended, and well patrolled by the Black Watch; no bandits exist, and no serfs dare flee from their masters.

Woot! I'm working on my post right now. Unfortunately I have a lot of homework so it probably won't be done until later this week.

^ I know how terrible that is! I somehow got the flue the day before yesterday, and now I'm kind of recovered, but this huge pile of homework and deadlines are waiting for me.. No fun.
But yay for your post! I can't wait to read it.. I'm wondering if Mae is looking forward to the journey with Arawen and the prisoners.. I guess she doesn't like any one of them..

Okay:
1. I'm typing up my post for T&S and working on one for SN. Yay! They will be done soon I hope, but I'm doing them in between the time I'm dedicating to my midterm take home essays. They are my break time
2. @ Will: Maeth is not a fun roadtrip type of gal so no she's not looking forward to anything. She basically views this as babysitting and hopefully, eventually, clearing her name enough that she can walk through a city without having to dodge being arrested.
3. I've decided the reason behind Maeth taking down Uruvion. Which is kind of the reason she decided to help out the people in SN. Namely because Vaire and Mandos tell her to/ they send her one of her crazy visions that tells her this girl is important and to protect/help/get her to where she needs to be and help tear down Mordor from the inside out.

^ I already thought that she would not be so pleased with her travel companions, but still I thought it was her idea to free the prisoners.. So can I somehow conclude that she's a little bit good inside, aside from her eccentric behaviour?
And that's usually what I do.. when I've worked really hard or long on something, then I reward myself with a little AU-time. I wish it would be summer and that I would have all the time of the world to RPG again!
Crazy visions are gooood! But isn't Maeth powerful enough to handle Uruvion and his minions? Just wondering..
On a random note: I watched Despicable me last night and I loooooved it!

Lol. Yes, there is a little good in there when someone more powerful than her decides to drag it out. Maethoriel is naturally lazy and doesn't want much to do with the politics - thus the reason she freely hands reigns over to Arawen - unless someone forces her. She'd be pleased as punch to walk her grey line and let the world fall about her just so long as she wasn't injured.
I figured she wouldn't really see the point in ridding Mordor of Uruvion unless she was certain she would benefit. Yeah, he could be annoying but what if someone worse took his place? The fact that she's basically assured that it will turn out okay for her makes this a safe choice.

Yeah. Maeth's thought process is a loose thread of randomly associated words. She does have kids actually, they are with Bear and will probably not see their mother ever again. Bear is just one of those random references. The children is what she thinks of Arawen, Luthien and Beor as and it just sparks a whole bunch of stuff she hasn't thought of in a while.

^ That makes her so confusing yet very intriguing at times. I'm wondering if there comes a time in our RPG that Maeth might actually need the help of either Arawen, Luthien or Beör. That will be an interesting situation as Maeth is really independant and not such a nice person. I'm still very excited for T&S, especially now Uruvion is getting back in the picture in SN, I'm really excited to continue with T&S.

Yes, I really like all these small references as well. They give the relationship between our characters so much more depth! I'm really glad that after so many pages the great escape is finally happening, and I really can't wait to play it all out! I also think that T&S has been abandoned waaay too long! We must revive it! Please? *Offers cookies and chocolate*
