You have a good point. I think, overall, we just need to be on the ball and I think it will be most important that we reclaim our long-lost fan-base. I think that will be a crutial part of this revival project.

For some absurd reason "simply the best" got stuck on my brain just now. And I realize that it isn't really related to this topic, but I just thought I'd post this and then those of you who feel it concerns them can take it to heart :innocent: (so basically that means all of you )

^

Yes, and I would like to say the bubble that burst a couple of weeks ago, really upset me, but I have to say, I'm glad it happened. Because as well as making everyone more determined for this to succeed, it made me realise that no matter how long this all takes, we're doing everything together as a team and I don't care what anyone says, that's the only way to do things and that's what's really important.

We need a group hug smiley round here. :P

^ I couldn't agree more with you. That should definitely go into plans and be completed as soon as possible.

Aye, group hug all around.

Ok, so news. Got it. Thanks, Arwen, for the website suggestions. :) Also, 'Hobbit' filming starts really soon, like today I think. Perhaps we could start with that as our first news post? EDIT: Maybe combo it with a post about the changes going on around the site.

EDIT: *jawdrop* I LOVE this new forum update. I hit submit on my post, and instead it showed me a new post that was made while I was writing my post in case I wanted to "review" my post in light of the new post. Where was this feature about five years ago??

Lol! Larael, there are many things new that I wish we had - everything seems so squeaky clean and, for lack of a better word, new.

I think that would be great if we posted some news about filming and about what we are all doing (well, you all since you have been planning this long before I came waddling in). Great Idea.

Sounds good to me. Who wants to write the post? Let me know and I'll give you access, and it's all yours :)

Whew! Finally caught up. Be without internet for three days, and things start to pile up. ;) I actually don't have too much to add to the discussion, since you seem to have things pretty well worked out, but I wanted to let you all know I didn't disappear.

Also, we really need to do the whole figure out who has access to what thing.

Alright guys, I talked to Arwen about possibly helping to clear up the old email address and to help with future site communication. Would anyone else be willing to help?

^ You are right. That was always the trouble with some websites is the communication between staff and visitor. I was part of this website where it was nearly impossible to get a hold of them and, if they did email you back, it was like winning the lottery.

Yes, we need to make sure that any communications to AU are dealt with as soon as possible, because that builds trust and also makes people think they are worth responding to. Also when dealing with new affiliates, the sooner you reply the better. Again, though we need to picky about them as well, but that all comes later down the road.

EDIT: So I'm still choogling my way through the media section, and I came upon the sound adn music section, which is basically full of soundtracks and bits of speaking from the film. Worth cleaning up? Completely re-vamping? Removing and just have a video section?

Well, it is a fun category but we have to be careful. If they are clips, it might be fine (so as long as the sources of the mp3s are there. If they are full length, we need to be especially careful as that could be a liability. Even the clips of the movies, if kept, should be well documented.

Most of them look fine to keep, since they're just clips. The full length ones I'm a little more leery about, but I think as long as we keep them documented it will be all right. I'm really unsure about streaming the soundtrack, though. Even though AU isn't hosting the streaming, will it be okay?

So is anyone else willing to commit to helping with communications? I'm the only one solely dedicated to it, and it would probably best to have at least 2 or 3 people handling the mass of emails I'm sure we'll be getting, and to go through almost 5+ years on the old account.
