"All right, then I shall," Darius remarked with a small smile before he pressed a kiss to her forehead and headed for Calista's room.

Meanwhile, Gareth just cradled Calista close, rocking the unconscious woman gently. She had yet to awaken since she had fallen asleep in his arms after healing Darius, her already weakened body pushed nearly beyond its limits.

Walking to Calista's room, Darius knocked at the door.

Looking up as he heard the knock, Gareth sighed to himself as he gently laid Calista down on her bed and went to answer the door.
"What is it?" he asked Darius coolly, his eyes betraying his annoyance with Darius and his woman.
"I was hoping to speak with Calista," Darius said quietly.
"She is not up for speaking to anyone." Gareth remarked, a finality in his voice.
"Please this will only take a minute."
"Hasn't she already been through enough torment?" Gareth finally snapped.
"What-?" Darius started, looking thoroughly confused.
"You want the truth?" Gareth hissed. "Calista has yet to wake since she healed you. You and your lady's stunt just about overtaxed her strength. And I do not know when she will regain consciousness again," he snapped, worry and anger shining in his eyes. "Now if you will excuse me, I must tend to my lady."
"Wait---do you know of a priest?" he asked Gareth.
"There is one in the village," came the mage's curt reply before he closed the door, not caring to inquire on the reason.
