Calista just weakly swallowed the small amounts of the elixir that James trickled into her mouth, each movement painful on her already raw and sore throat. "H-how much more?" she rasped out, wanting it all to stop.
"There is still quite a fair amount left, my lady," James told her gently as Calista just sighed in frustration.

Calista just smiled weakly at Gareth's words though her heart was not in it. Her throat was raw and sore and each trickle she swallowed was becoming more painful and harder to do.
"Please, my lady, just a bit more," the healer entreated her. Sighing softly again, Calista opened her lips and allowed him to slowly pour more of the elixir into her mouth.

Calista could not return Gareth's smile as James continued to slowly trickle the elixir down her throat. When he was finally finished the woman could not help but sigh in relief. "Just rest now, my lady" he told her softly. "I will be preparing other broths and elixirs in case they are needed."

"You're welcome," James said softly as he moved to a table to work on more elixirs in case Calista needed them again.

Calista just gave Gareth a gentle smile as he laid her back on the bed. "Thanks," she murmured weakly, her coughing stopped for now but her fever was still high.
