Hi everyone! *looks around* I'll just follow the leaders and post a quick hi to you all.
I'm Alanna. I'm not really new to forums in general, but I'm new to this one! from the looks of it, it's amazing! I've been a serious LotR & Tolkien fan for a few years now - the books are the best and so are the movies. I love drawing the characters from the movies (my favorites of which are Frodo and Samwise!) and I found lots of beautiful photos to work with on the website - and I checked out the forum and decided I needed to join! Looks like a lovely place; can't wait to really explore it, and the graphics are gorgeous.
Perhaps I should say some things about myself by way of introduction?
Let's see. As I said, I LOVE drawing - only people though. I started this new hobby a couple months ago and I'm really enjoying it. I also love soccer, fencing, reading, and writing. And of course the real reason I'm here is because I love Lord of the Rings! *sigh* I could go on forever about the epicness of it. Don't know how often I'll be back, but I'll try to keep up with things. Sometimes life gets crazy busy.

Hi and welcome to A-U. Beautiful name, Alanna.. actually it's on my list of baby names! Umm not that I keep a list.. because I don't.. *shifty eyes* but I love the name!
I'm glad you found us and joined the forum. The site is undergoing a small makeover as we're working on shaping things up for The Hobbit so you're welcome to propose your ideas if there is something we've missed.
It's a lovely forum here with lots of great people so just dig in. There are a lot of talented people here and if you're interested in drawing you should definitely check out the Fan art section. If you need tips to find something in particular or have a question about the forum/site just post here.

Thanks so much!! I was up way too late last night looking around the forum. I also checked out the fan art section and loved the drawings and graphics! very cool!
If I think of anything to add to the AU makeover, I'll post it, but for now I think it's great. I can't wait for the Hobbit to come out!
