Welcome Aerliniel, that was a nice big introduction post! A pleasure to meet you, I hope you are having a good time here.
If you have ideas for the site or the forum and want to help out you should check out the Revival board. You can see what is currently going on and you can post ideas. We have members from many countries, cultures and beliefs on the forum so to ensure a friendly and tolerant environment a non-religion as well as a non-politics rule apply. But like you said, there is a lot of symbolism in the books - from many mythologies and from Christianity so it might be interesting to have a look at that.
But do head over to the Revival board to see what's going on!

No, no, you didn't break any rules at all, no worries. I just wanted to mention the no-religion rule which means that we are very cautious when discussing Tolkien's books from a religious viewpoint. But like I said it would actually be very interesting to look at and compare themes and symbols and parallels from other mythologies and beliefs in LotR, so do go ahead if you want to do something like that.

If you want to suggest putting together some text for the main site you might want to post on the Revival's board, but if you would rather discuss it with forum members and share opinions and thoughts on it you might want to put it under Misc. LotR book forum.. So it depends on the nature of the topic.
