Naerwen nodded "I know she is nervous, but I also know why she would make the sacrifice of refusing." she sat down "There is still time to decide whether or not you will accept. Go home, think about it more." she dismissed them with a wave of her hand. As they walked out the door, she knew Naerwen was right about why she would make the sacrifice. "Niko, why do you want me to so this?"

Niko did not reply as they walked home. After they had entered and the he closed her door behind them he replied.
''Honestly, I am not entirely sure. But you deserve it, I can think of no-one better to rule Rivendell.''
He paused and wondered if guilt was a reason preventing her from accepting.
''Love, I would be glad if you accepted. Do not think I would resent you in any way.''

"Would you be content, would you wish to remain in Rivendell? Being a wanderer...being a ranger..." she turned and placed her hands on the mantel of the fireplace. He would grow restless. He would seek again the wandering ways of the ranger. She knew the wanderlust ran deep within him.

Niko moved to turn her around and took her hands.
''I would give up everything, for you.''
At length he continued speaking, knowing that she would need to hear more than that not to feel guilty.
''We could be safe here, not having to constantly look over our shoulder, or sleep in shifts for fear of enemies. I love you and I am in love with my wanderlust, this is true. Who's to say it's the end? You would be ruler and you could do as you please. We could travel for short periods of time, leaving another temporarily in charge.
Perhaps one day, we could leave it to our child'' he added in a hushed tone.

She closed her eyes and tears slid out from under her eyelids. "I would not have you give up anything for me. She dropped her head and leaned her forehead on his chest. "I would only want you happy. I would only wish you to do what you love." her heart beat wildly at his words. Their child. He was right, though. They could travel.

''I can still do everything I desire with you as queen.I would lose nothing and we would gain somewhere where we could be safe from all our enemies''
He held her closer to him, wiping away her tears. Niko could picture her ruling Rivendell. She would make a just ruler, shown by how she handled the two quarreling women.

"But are you sure?" she looked up at him. She only wanted him to be happy. She could rule, but if he would not be content she would not choose to. Her hands grasped the front of his tunic. "All you must do is say the word, and I will do it. Either way."

''Love,I am happy for you to accept.You are already a queen in my eyes, why not make it seen to all?''
He lifted her chin so she would meet his gaze.
''Now, my queen, shall we get ready for your coronation?''

She became nervous again "Right now?" she squeaked, feeling light headed again. Talking about it had come easier than actually getting down to the grit and doing it. "I...I...what should I say?"

Niko gently squeezed her hands to comfort her nervousness.
''I think you should say whatever comes to mind. Speak the truth and what you think. Such as when you led us to battle against those that threatened Minas Tirith.''
He stood up and pulled her up with him.
''You shall do fine. I shall be there with you the entire time.''

She took a breath and walked woodenly up the stairs to their room. She reached out and ran a finger down the hem of the dress she was to wear. "I do not know if I possess the strength." her voice was quiet, her hands shaky.

Niko picked up held out some ale to her. It would seem there was ale in every room of the house thanks to Niko!
''This may help. I find it calms me'' he said with a laugh.
''You shall do fine, love. I daresay you may even enjoy it.''

She couldn't help smile that formed on her lips as she took the ale "Le hannon, husband." she drained the ale. She picked the gold colored dress up and went behind the curtain to change. She finished then sat in front of the mirror. She stared for a few minutes before picking up the brush and brushing her hair. "What are you wearing?"

Niko, being so preoccupied with Nienna, hadn't even considered what he would wear.
''I am sure, no doubt, that there will be some elven robes in my chambers that would suit for the occasion.Though if I don them I may steal all of the attention''
He grinned at her.

"I do not care, as long as Elanor is not present." she made a face in the mirror. She finished brushing her hair, the held it out with her hands, making another face. "Perhaps I should just cut it off..." she speculated. She had no idea what she would do with the ebony mass of her hair.

''Should we have sent her an invitation?''
At the mention of cutting her hair Niko started laughing.
''You will do no such thing. Do not worry,love, you look fine. Besides, next to me I do not think anyone will give you a second glance'' he teased, poking her side to further annoy her.
