As she left the balcony Niko finally spoke.
''So you are not abandoning me tonight?'' He smirked at her as he lay, quite comfortably on the bed, with ale in his hand.

"I may yet, should you keep that up." she shook her head, grinning before turning her back and slipping out of her robe. The moonlight came in and hit her skin. Nienna looked down at her arm, disgusted at how white her skin looked.

Niko turned his gaze away as soon as she removed her robe. He knew what would happen to him if his eyes lingered. He closed them and tried to think of other things.He pulled the blanket to him as a small gust of wind blew past him.

"I think I'm too pale." she slid her white, sleeveless night shift on, but continued to look at her skin. "Ugh." was all she could say. She looked down, and saw she had lost more weight. She shook her head at herself.

''All those with elven blood are pale'' he replied, his eyes still closed. ''Do not worry, if this is consolation, I find you very desirable''
He laughed as he spoke to her, placing his hands behind his head, relaxed.

She only grunted as she noticed how her shift hung off her frame. She turned to look at him, the nightgown making light, swishing sounds as she turned. "Aye." she said dryly, "A great consolation indeed." she went to her side of the bed and lay down on her side, pulling the blankets up around her. her back was to him as she still looked out the window.

Her tone quietened him. He turned slowly and reached for her shoulder.
''Nienna?'' He wasn't sure what to say but her demeanor was beginning to frighten him slightly.

She turned "Yes?" she said gently, "Are you alright? Can I get you anything?" her weight loss was still on her mind. She guessed it was the miscarriages. It took her appetite away, that was for sure.

He shook his head to her offer but could find no words to speak.
Instead he moved closer to her, laying his head on her chest, feeling somewhat vulnerable for reasons unknown.
He needed her comfort.

She cradled his head on her chest and kissed the top of his head. She began to run her fingers gently through his hair while humming softly. Her other hand went to lay on his exposed cheek. She watched him through half closed lids, not really feeling tired, but they were half closed just because it felt comfortable.

He felt relaxed as she held him, his eyes drifting closed. He kissed her arm and spoke, his words but a whisper.
''Never leave me. I would be lost without you''
The energy finally leaving him he fell asleep.

She heard his words as he fell asleep. He seemed to fear her leaving him. She would never leave him freely. She knew without him she would be just as lost "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." she whispered, willing him to hear the words in his dreams.

Niko slept and dreamt he was alone. Nienna was nowhere to be found, he searched for her, to no avail. Until he heard a voice behind him, he turned to find her speaking. What she said he was not sure but it comforted him.
He subconsciously moved closer to her in his sleep.

She hugged him close to her as he rolled closer to her in his sleep. Her thoughts went back to the black magic. She now knew it was the black magic that had caused them to lose the babies, it was no fault of either of theirs. It comforted her,somewhat. She started playing with his hair again.

Niko slept for the rest of the night. He was at peace, his dreams now his own once again.
Waking up slightly, he felt her beside him, awake.
''You enjoy watching me sleep?'' he smiled, though his face was still on her chest, hiding his expression from view.

She laughed slightly. "I do." she continued to brush her fingers through his hair. "I also enjoy this." her other hand moved to his shoulder and back and began massaging gently.
