She woke up with a start, her eyes wide. She saw the blood on his lip. "Niko? What happened? Why are you bleeding?" she reached up and touched his lip.

He smiled at her, wincing at the slight pain in his lip.
''You have quite the punch when provoked'' he said with a laugh, wiping the blood from his mouth.
''Do you feel any better?''

She shook her head "No...I'm sorry." she reached out and grabbed a cloth, gently dabbing at the small wound. When it was cleaned and she was sure the bleeding had stopped, she reached for him again. "Don't do anything stupid to save me." she repeated his words of so long ago.

He smiled at the words.
''Nothing that would save you is stupid in my eyes''
Lifting the small box he had received earlier he held it out to her.
''We have what we need''

She looked at it and her eyes widened. "You mean to kill him?" she was worried, "He is evil, immortal..." she clutched at him "Do not get yourself killed, or worse!" she begged him with her eyes as she held his hand. "I could not live..."

She nodded, then kissed him back, glad for him being there. "He will return tonight, won't he..." she asked with dread, knowing what the answer would be. Her arms went around Niko protectively.

'' I shall not fail you. My wife, my queen, my angel'' he pressed his lips to hers, overcome by the moment.

She trembled. What would tonight bring? She cupped Niko's face, looking into his eyes "You better not." she sniffed as tears came to her eyes. The worst part would be waiting. They had all day, yet it didn't seem enough time. She feared the worst would happen. And she wanted him, wanted a time with him more beautiful than even the other times they had. She knew she was being paranoid, but she would rather have that memory than anything else. The love they shared was pure, that would bring her comfort should something happen. She wondered if he could read it in her eyes.

He could sense her emotion, he felt it as well.
Looking into her eyes, he spoke.
''Whatever you wish to do with our time, ask, and I shall oblige you, wife''
He kissed her before, pulling away to look at her, taking in everything.

Her eyes filled with tears, "Niko..." she set her forehead against his, holding his face with her hands "I fear it shall be the end.." she whispered, finding it difficult to breathe. "Take me..." she whispered as she moved to hold him close. She breathed in the scent of him, and felt him under her hands, filling all her senses with him. He was entirely committed to her memory, to her mind.

''It shall be the end. His end.'' he said softly.
At her next words, he only replied by nodding. He gently lay her down, removing her dress and his clothes. He lay gently on top of her and softly began to kiss her neck. It was different this time. It was not lust but love controlling his every movement, he was not focused on finding his moment but of the feel of them, entwined and connected.
''Le Melon'' he whispered.

Her hands went to brush through his hair as he lay on top of her, and then they caressed slowly down his back. "Le Melon, husband, my love, my Niko." tears began to softly run down her face as she embraced him. Her only thought was to live him, tenderly. She brushed his hair from his face and tucked it behind his ear, gently kissing along his jawline. She could feel only love emanating from them both. She found hope within this love.

He kissed her and held the position as he began to move slowly. His hand moving to stroke her thigh while the other brushed the hair from her face. He kept his lips on hers, his mouth open, allowing her tongue complete access.
He would never forget this moment.

She cried softly at the tenderness of the moment. Her tongue explored his mouth, and she savored the taste of him, storing everything she felt and saw in her heart. Her hands moved down over his sides and lower back, over his bottom and back up. As he moved slowly, she moved hers slowly to meet him. They were locked in a dance of tender love, entwined as one. Her head lifted to meet his kiss, her own mouth open as well.

His hand went behind her head, lifting her closer as their lips met. He began to move slightly faster, his gaze locked on her with every stroke he made.
His chest lay against hers and he could faintly feel her heartbeat, a wonderful feeling.
He began to kiss her chest, taking her in his mouth.
