(eek! Sorryfor the double post...*pokes Internet*)

She found the clearing with the little pond and sat in a sunny spot. She got uncomfortable around people who were very drunk, it reminded her of her father. He loved his drink a bit too much. She pulled her knees up to her chest, hugging them there as she rested her chin upon them, sighing and closing her eyes as she did so. She knew she must have looked like some kind of fool leaving like that, yet she found it impossible to stay near drunk people.

Thoril removed his jacket in light of the sun beating down on him. He continued to stride down the path, following in Callie's footsteps. He could hear the swooshing sound of water hitting against a grassy bank as he drew closer. He stepped into a small opening into a cosy hideaway. There Callie sat with her arms around her legs. "I hope I am not trespassing," he announced as he took a step towards the elf.

She had heard his approach "It's not my land," she said with some humor "You followed me?" she said, only curiosity present in her voice. "I'm sorry, I must have looked like a fool leaving so adroitly like that. My father loved Hos drink a little too much and when people get drunk like that, I just don't really feel comfortable." she sent him a small, apologetic smile.

Thoril read between the lines and accepted some form of invitation had been present in her speech. He walked over and sat down near to her. "Given the circumstances it is very understandable. Had your companions been aware of the situation, they would understand too. Appologies are not necessary." Thoril said with a shake of his head.

"Perhaps, but I felt an explanation at the very least was needed." she looked at him curiously "Are you staying in town or passing through? And where do you hail from?" she knew she was probably irritating him, but she was curious.

Thoril smiled faintly. "I have not yet decided whether to stay or go yet. What of your plans?" He asked back. "I am from Gondor. Where are you from? Mirkwood? Or is it Rivendell?" He tilted his head curiously.

"I planned to stay a bit, it's been too long since I have actually stayed in one place." she laughed a bit "Rivendell." she grinned "Are you traveling on business or pleasure?" she let her hands fall and she supported herself on them while she stretched let legs out.

"I travel for pleasure and when the need arises I travel to find business. The traveling life costs more than I imagined." Thoril snickered. "And you? Business or pleasure?" He kicked off his shoes and slipped his feet into the cool water.

She chuckled "The traveler's life does cost a pretty penny!" she followed suit and kicked off her boots as well, hiking up her blue dress as she slipped her slender feet into the water. "Mainly pleasure. Seeing what there is to see and such." she tilted her head at him, just studying him.

Thoril flashed her a smile before gazing over the water. "Have you been here long?" He asked, the water dazzling his eyes. His voice was soft as he spoke to her. He relaxed greatly in her company.

"I have been in this area for about a week. But I haven't stayed right in town. I visit the village from time to time. What of yourself? What keeps you from staying in one place for too long?" she splashed her feet gently in the water, enjoying the coolness of it.

Thoril thought for a long time. "There's no specific reason I guess. I have a desire to learn and that knowledge can only come from travelling I guess and meeting new people. I guess i've never really found a reason to stay in one place. What keeps you moving?"

"Restlessness, I guess. Same as you, haven't found a reason." her eyes glittered "I guess I'll know when I find it." she gave a warm smile "My brothers certainly don't want me back." she smirked.

"I do hate the feeling of restlessness. I like you hope to find a reason to stay somewhere. I think having no reason to stay is part of what makes me restless." Thoril looked round at Callie, studying her curiously. "What makes you say that?" He asked in acknowledgment of her remark.

She giggled "Oh the trouble I got them in when we were younger, and the hours of standing in the corner for it." she laughed, shaking her head "Those were the days!"

"I can quite imagine they deserved it. What did you do to deserve standing in the corner?" He chuckled softly, eager to hear her tales. Thoril had been an only child and a part of him had always felt that he had missed out on something.
