"It's just...morning sickness..." she wiped her mouth, embarrassed he had found her like this. "I'm really fine..." She stood and felt nausea take over her again and she closed her eyes, leaning against the house.

He nodded and picked her up,ignoring her protests, taking her back into the house.
He set her down on their bed and brought out a small wet towel and began to dab at her head, silent.

She tried to grab his wrist, knowing he shouldn't be forced to tend to her while he was still angry. "niko.." she whispered, her voice gentle. She knew the sickness would pass at some point.

He shook his head, he was focusing on taking care of her, not their argument.
He still dabbed at her head, before holding some water to her lips.
''Drink''

She drank it, not sure why he was doing this. "This is normal..." she had seen Eowyn go through pregnancy while growing up, it was normal. Her thoughts were clouded by another wave of nausea.

''I wouldn't know.'' he said shortly.
''I am just attempting to make you less uncomfortable''
Satisfied he had done that, he turned and picked up his half bottle of ale and drank, still not speaking.

He was obviously still angry. When he sat back, she turned on her side, her back to him, and let out silent tears. She was a fool, he had proved that. She closed her eyes, knowing he had been right.

He turned, about to offer her more water when he saw her with her back to him.
Guessing the rest he let out a small sigh, and lightly reached over to place his hand on her shoulder. He couldn't deny he was upset, but she needed him, now more than ever.

She curled up around her stomach to try and ward off the nausea, she barely felt his hand on her shoulder as her only thoughts were on his child. She had endangered the life of his child, for that she could never forgive herself.

His hand tugged at her shoulder, willing her to turn.
''Why can you not face me? Do you still doubt my feelings?'' He was confused, the past two days had been turbulent, to say the least.

She shook her head "Not that." it was not him. She just could never forgive herself. She covered her face, afraid to turn over, afraid that he would see the guilt.

''What then?'' he asked.
He did not like seeing her in this state, regardless of whatever mood he was in.
Repeating her words to him from before, he spoke.
''Please, do not turn from me'' he said quietly.

She heard his words, and prayed that somehow his eyes would be blinded to the look on her face. It was his child, she did not feel as though she had a right to his son. She could have killed him, again. She slowly pushed herself to a sitting position, now her side only faced him, not her back. She kept her eyes on her hands in her lap.

''You avoid my gaze.'' he said, noticing her fixing her eyes away from him. He took her hands and leant towards her.
''Speak your mind. Please, Nienna''

"I cannot forgive myself for putting your child's life in danger." she said slowly, closing her eyes. "You were right." she couldn't meet his gaze. She had marred herself, and risked the life of his son.

His son?
Niko began to understand her guilt, he cupped her face and forced her to look him in the eye.
''I will not deny that I am upset, that would be a lie. But you are alive, as is the child, that is what matters.
Our son, angel, not mine, our. He is as much yours as mine.'' he concluded, pressing a kiss to her lips.
