The look she gave him was one of pure misery. "You might not be, but the food is." she moaned out as she continued to pick at it.

He raised his eyebrow in response.
''I hope you are not insulting my cooking'' he said, with a sharp poke to her side.

She gasped an gripped her side "I wouldn't do that unless you want your cooking all over you." she sent him a mock glare before laying on her back, still processing it. She could clearly feel the small bump now that she was looking for it.

He laughed at her face. His hand covered hers on her belly as he leant down and kissed her.
''I should make the most of this, before you become bigger than I am'' he said with a wink.

She quirked her eyebrow. "Watch it there, mister." but she sent him a small smile before grimacing as she remembered the papers she had left on the table. She had more things to write anyway. She looked down at Niko's hand as it covered hers over their unborn child.

He returned her smile, his free hand moving to softly stroke her hair.
''Whatever you need, angel. You have to but ask''
He smiled at her, before looking down to his chest and then to her belly. Perhaps one day soon he would place the child's name on his chest, along with his mother's.
Taking her hand, he lightly placed it over his chest, with a smile. He couldn't tell her how much he cared for her.

She blinked back tears at his actions, then gently pulled him over into a hug. "Le melon." she felt terrible about their earlier argument. She hoped he knew how much she loved him and how sorry she was.

''Always'' he replied.
He smiled at her, letting her know that there were no hard feelings, there was nothing for him to forgive.
He took her finger and lightly traced it over his tattoo.
''What do you think?'' he asked, a small grin showing on his face.

She watched as he traced her finger over it. "I think it's forever." she brought her eyes up to meet his. There was more meaning in her statement than just a simple answer.

Nodding in reply, he spoke.
''As we are. Forever. I am yours, as is clearly shown'' he said with a soft laugh.
He knew that they were forever, but there still was the worry of Niko's immortality.

Her mind went to the same thing, her brow furrowing. What would happen? In her heart she knew she was not immortal as he, and she understood his fears and concerns.

''What is on your mind?'' he asked, though he believed he already knew the answer.
He withdrew from her slightly, his mind working.

She looked up at him "You are immortal." she watched him, watched as he began thinking. She didn't know how to fix that, nothing she could say would help.

He nodded grimly in acknowledgement. He could not change that. But maybe he didn't have to? His eyes moved slowly to Nienna, before he looked away.
He had no right to ask her what he had thought.

She frowned as his gaze went to her, then quickly away. "What is it? What are you thinking?" she put her hand under his chin, bringing his face around to look at her.

''Nothing'' he said, forcing himself to smile. He tried to move his face away. He felt guilty, his desires were not what they should be. He couldn't ask her to do what it was he wished.
