Hatter stood on a Balcony of the White Queen's castle looking forlornly out over Wonderland. He heard a soft step behind him and bowed low.
"Your Highness" He rose and gave a hopeful smile "I hear word that you have sent the Rabbit to find your Champion Alice. Is it true?"

The White Queen had a heavy heart and a big burden to deal with lately and it was all because of her evil older sister. You see, the two sisters never did see eye-to-eye and rightfully, the White Queen was the favorite of her parents out of the two sisters. Well, the Red Queen didn't settle for that. She created her own version of Wonderland and even stole her crown, after attacking a party that she had attended. Oh, and she intended to get that crown back from her sister, if it were the last thing that she did. But, she had to find her champion in order to do so.

Walking out to one of the many balconies on her castle, the White Queen saw the Mad Hatter standing there. She smiled kindly to him and then curtsied once he bowed to her. "Hello, dear Hatter." She said softly and then heard his question. She sighed deeply, walking up to the ledge of the balcony; placing her hands on the mortar railing. "Indeed, it is true. I know that the Rabbit will do me well. He knows our champion. He knows what they are capable of. He will make no mistake." She said to him softly, as she looked over her beautiful Wonderland, which was now starting to turn to ruin.

She looked away painfully and then rested her eyes on the Mad Hatter's crazily colored eyes. She smiled weakly to him and nodded once. "We'll be just fine..." She whispered.

Alyssa sighed as she sat in the garden of her grandmother's estate. She was reading one of her new books, it was a hobby she was proud of, by many discoraged. At 25 Alyssa Walker was single. But she didn't mind, she was raised by her grandmother that being unique was good. She smiled as she looked to the mansion she called home. Her grandmother, Alice, had been given the home by its former owner, Lord Ascot. The older man had given it to the Former Alice Kingsley as a wedding gift. Alyssa sighed. Her mother had grown up here, and would still be here if she had not died in child birth, shortly after which her father had vanished. As for her grandfather, a scottish tailor when he first met Alice, he had passed ten years ago.

A pair of eyes watched the Hatter and the White Queen, eyes that, for the moment, had no body. Then the smile appeared with a chuckle and the diembodied parts floated down to their eye level where they could see it. And before either could do anything, the rest of the cat appeared, as if laying on it's side casually, floating in mid air.
"Why hello my dearest White Queen, greeting Hatter. I see a couple of troubled faces. Is there anything I can do to... help?" The cat turned upside down as he said the word 'help', smiling all the time without stop...

The Hatter nodded, summoning from somewhere a cheering smile, though the Queen's depression had only made him doubt her words. But it was not his place to make her feel worse, but to comfort her. So instead he answered in a strong comforting voice "I'm sure you're right".

As he did so he noticed the Cat. The Hatter, did not entirely trust the Cat. He was on thier side, but he was a tricky customer at the best of times and you never quite knew what he would do, or where he would be next. But the queen was there, and he had to be polite. So he simply contended himself with a slight glare and said nothing.

The White Queen smiled a little more to the Mad Hatter and then nodded once, before slowly looking over to where another voice had suddenly appeared. She saw the Cheshire Cat floating there and curtsied a bit to him. "Hello, Cheshire. Wonderland is always in need of help lately. I feel like... I'm not doing my job properly. I cannot even keep my kingdom from going to ruin." She said softly and then swallowed hard, looking between the two of them.

Slowly regaining her composure and pushing aside her cowardice, she stood up straight and smiled brightly. "Enough of my whining. I will get Wonderland back to how it used to be. And it will happen soon." She added.

"Of course it will" Hatter replied with a warming smile. "And you are an excellent Queen, you have sent for your Champion, and you have defeated the Red Queen once before. You can do so again." He swept his top hat from his head and bowed low, "My Lady we will all fight to the death for you." He gave a sideways glare to the Cat, dareing it to contradict him.
