I honestly never see it happening. I think Tolkien movies will stop after the Hobbit.

that's sad. I would love to see the Silmarillion, but I can see why it would be a rather difficult movie to make and also difficult to understand if you haven't read the book.

Ya I think it would be hard to make, and even harder to make it well. And it is more a collection of stories than one continues series of events like the LotR. We'd probably end up seeing a whole bunch of Silmarillion movies if anyone tried. You know, more money if you do a movie per story or something. But I still don't see that happening.

I dont know what other Tolkien story they could do, and do it right, and have it not be too complicated or anythin. Like The Silmarillion would be just, wow, ya know? I had to read it a few times before I really started to grasp it all, and actually it wouldn't hurt for me to read it again and refresh my memory. I think it would be neat to go back and develop the characters of Isildur and Elendil during the first war for the Ring, that would be interesting, plus the character of Gil-galad would be in there too.
