"They weren't ancient books that I destroyed," Anne objected to Sparkle's claim. "They were modern pieces of libel. Though if I had the chance I'd rip up various ancient accounts of me too!" She huffed. "Some people didn't like me in my first life and now it appears there's someone on this very train who hated me enough to put a stop to my second life - enough to smother me to death!"
She floated over to where Sparkle now stood by the Horseman. "Alas, I caught no glance of my killer whatsoever," she said in reply to Sparkle's question. "Anyway," she continued, "it’s a little bit too late to be asking the Horseman for protection. Who was there to protect me? Where’s my justice?” She was quickly becoming very upset. “Yes, we have to search all of the train, every single room, so that the killer doesn’t have time to hide any evidence. And by the way everyone,” she paused, “treat my corpse with respect, will you? The first time round I was buried in an arrow chest. This time I'd like a PROPER coffin. And don’t you dare think about not providing me with a proper burial place when all this is over. The train company owes me a very expensive funeral.”

"Yes, well *ahem*" said The Horseman, clearly disturbed by Anne's remark that he had failed to protect her from being murdered and the general conversation about funerals and dead bodies. Which posed another question. "I think we should erm.. before.. erm.. we do any searching... we should perhaps remove the erm... corpse..." he said eyeing Anne. "What with hygiene and all that" he finished. "I believe the medical room has beds and also all the rooms are central heated so we could adjust the temperature to minues degrees...." he trailed off.

Crystal fell out of her bed when she was startled awake by a scream. Out of habit she grabbed her notebook and pencil as she ran out of her room to investigate. She was running fairly quickly between the cars, but stopped short when she saw Anne's dead body. "Oh my," she muttered. "Oh my!" she said louder when she saw Anne's ghost. "I'm....sorry...dear." Honestly, she wasn't quite sure what to say. She'd never seen a ghost before.
Crystal began writing down the clues in her note book: smothered by her ball of yarn, Twilight on the 13th chapter named "Confessions". They were in her notebook because that is what she did, but Crystal really had no idea what she could do to help.

"Maybe" The Horseman began choosing his words carefully as he looked at Anne, who appeared to him to be the most annoyed ghost he had ever seen. "Maybe the killer was being cryptic when leaving the page open at such a chapter. Perhaps the Confessions refers to not the killer but the victim. Or" he added hastily, "it could simply of fallen open" he said as he yawned. "Either way there is not much we can do tonight. The killer cannot leave the train as we haven't stopped anywhere and the train is moving too fast for him or her, to make an exit without killing themselves. I really must get my sleep, and so I shall bid you all a goodnight."
"But first" he added. "WE HAVE A BODY IN HERE THAT NEEDS REMOVING!" he said shouting. Two stewards appeared toting a stretcher. "A bit late are we not chaps?" asked The Horseman. "You normally know things before they happen" he said with a hint of sarcasm. The group watched as the body of Anne was carried away. "Don't forget to turn the heating down" The Horseman called after the stewards moved down the corridor.

At last, in spite of all the excitement, Taur had finally lulled herself into an uneasy sleep. Alas, she was woken by an urgent rapping, rapping at her chamber door.
But unfortunately she was not going insane for her lost love and seeing talking birds. Instead, it was a pale Prokopy. "Madame, I think you should see this." And he led her to the Lounge Car.
Alariya would be (quoth the raven) nevermore.
Murder No. 2: Alariya
Time of Death: 7:30 AM
Cause: Smothered with a luncheon napkin
with her drawing of the trees on it
Place: The Lounge Car

The Horseman awoke bright and early. He had slept easily despite the events of the night before. As he went through his normal morning, he headed towards the dining car but before this he reached the lounge, where he found Taur and Prokopy and Alariya. "Morning all" he called cheerily as he stood with his hands behind his back, wondering why they were looking at Alariya sleeping. "Lovely day isn't it?" he asked as the morning sun begam to stream through the windows.
"I certianly hope the horrid incident last night will not affect our wonderful party and the disco we're having tonight" said The Horseman. "I have already picked out the special songs and the stewards are organising the rest. I think it will just be what the group needs and even Anne can join in" he said er... smiling.
Noticing the silence and that Taur and Prokopy were both looking at him, The Horseman said "She's dead isn't she?", they both nodded. "Zounds" was all he could reply.

Anne had spent the night floating eerily around the train, looking around for anything that might be a clue. It had, needless to say, given her a lot of time to think. She glided towards the Lounge now, alerted by the sound of the Horseman’s voice. Deciding to creep him out, she scrolled through her mp3 player, selecting a song and turning the volume right up – and thus it was with the intro for Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” that she zoomed into the room.
“Ha! I bet I scared you…” she stopped short, staring down at the new corpse. “Ah.” She hovered beside the Horseman, looking as ghostly in her shock as, well, a ghost. “The killer has struck again!” she exclaimed. “We’ve got to be more vigilant from now on. What I suggest is that NONE of us ever sleep.”
“By the way…” she edged closer, “I think I’ve worked out what that whole ‘Confessions’ thing meant.” She lowered her voice, sounding a little distressed. “I think the murderer was having a dig at me. And very unkind of them it was too. I believe that they were making a reference to do with my inability to provide my husband Henry with a son.” She paused. “Anyhoo… I can see you’ve got a lot to deal with right now. So don’t mind me.”
‘Thriller’ continued to play, and she didn’t move from the spot she floated on, tapping a ghostly foot as best she could.

Every muscle in her body was sore when Crystal awoke. She had fallen asleep sitting on her bed writing in her note book. Staying in the position all night was not good for the rest of her. She had been trying to figure out what the clues meant, but all she had to show for herself was a stiff body. Getting up, Crystal threw on some comfy close and made her way into the corridor. As she stepped out, she was almost run over by two of Taur's workers as they ran by carrying a stretched.
That's odd. I thought they moved Anne's body last night. She quickly followed them through the train till them ended up in the lounge where a small group had gathered. She saw only Anne's ghost, but Alariya looked very much dead.
"Is she going to end up like..." Crystal trailed off pointing at Anne. It was the only thing she could think to ask.

Trying to get sleep after poor Anne's second murder in 500 years had been a toil. Now, groggy and irritable, Clarissa rose, throwing on a pair of jeans that had been used for painting so many theatre sets in the past that their original color was almost impossible to distinguish, and a T-shirt reading "The Scottish Play." Once dressed, she wandered down to the Lounge Car, hoping to run into someone she could discuss last night's events with. The whole ordeal seemed so surreal she almost wondered if she had dreamt it--Taur's scream in the night, the gristly scene of the murder, Anne's ghost...
When she met up with the rest of them in the Lounge Car, though, her face fell as she noticed Alariya's body on the floor. "Oh no," she whispered, coming to stand beside Anne. "The killer has struck again. We have to catch this person before it's too late!"

"Right" said The Horseman who always believed he was a true man of action. "You" he said pointing to Prokopy, "remove the body of our dear departed and take it to the medical room". Turning to Taur he said "we must gather all the guests together and decide which room we shall make as our headquarters where we can question people, including" he said, eyeing Prokopy, "the staff" he added in a whisper. "We can't possibly rule them out just yet" he said.
"And I want this all doing as soon as possible because I very much intend to have our disco this evening, murderer or no!".
"If the ghosty spirit of Alariya wishes to maker herself present sooner rather than later" he called out to nobody "that would be very helpful" he finished.
"I think we should make our headquarters in the entertainment lounge, there are plenty of seats there for comfort, nowhere for a sneaky killer to hide and in case we need any help with the clues, we can watch Terror By Night and see how Sherlock Holmes would do it".

(Okay, guys. I'm sooooo sorry I haven't been posting! I had no idea it was time to start!!!! Please forgive me!!!)
"Well, as you know, earlier, I was murdered, but I have come back to you all now.... as a ghost. Here is all that I know of what happened to me: I was having a terrible time falling back to sleep, so I decided to get up and walk around for a little bit. I strolled over to the Chocolate bar and ate my breakfast, which was composed of a doughnut. I then walked over to the lounge, discovering that no one was yet up, I dug in my pockets to see what I had to occupy myself with. I found that I had a napkin in my pocket. So, I grabbed a pen and began to draw some trees - it was a very nice little drawing if I do say so myself - when I heard some noises from outside. Naturally, I was curious and decided to have a look around. When I got back to my seat, my napkin was gone, and I started to bend down to look under the table, when someone clapped the napkin over my nose and mouth. Finally, I perished. I never once got a look at my attacker's face.
Here is where I may be of use to you though: when I came back, as a ghost, I found that there was a clue lying next to my lifeless corpse, here it is: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix left next to your body, opened to Chapter 13, which titled "The Hearing"

Liesl shook her head in disgust. Two murders, now! And this was supposed to be a fun retreat. She nodded enthusiastically at the Horseman's suggestion. "I think a lot of us love mysteries. But not. . .when they're. . .real. Never mind then."
She looked at Alariya's ghost, thinking. "Why is it always Chapter 13? For both murders. And if we are going to the entertainment lounge, I can bring my guitar."

The Horseman listened intently to Alariya talking.
"Hmmm" he said. "A noise outside...... smothered once again.... a book left open.... chapter 13.... these are certainly very strange occurances".

Clarissa thought back to every Agatha Christie she had ever read, every murder mystery play she had ever performed in or seen, and every game of Clue which she had participated. "Chapter 13...she murmured. "The killer is obviously trying to leave us a message. These aren't just random occurences...they're connected. The killer is trying to tell us something. The question is...what?" she gave a sigh, looking to the two ghosts. "I'm so so sorry. We'll get to the bottom of this."

Taunaki was tired.
Not that this wasn't unusual but she was tired more so than usual.
Deaths were unnerving.
What was more unnerving was the fact that her friend was correct and the stories were true and PEOPLE WERE DYING.
Stumbling into the Lounge Car, she gave a great big yawn and stopped.
"Why's everyone so...OH."
Staring blankly up at Alariya, she gaped, managing an "Oh...oh dear..."
