Crystal was nodding in argreement with what Sparkle was saying up until her comment about "turtles". "Turtles?" she asked. "Oh, never mind. You're not really going to leave us here..." It was then Crystal realized she had been talking to a closed door. Well, there was nothing else to do but find her room and try to sleep. She found her room easy enough, but sleeping was hard.

In the morning, Crystal was pleased to find that she woke up and was not a ghost! She got dressed and went out into the hall to see if any other guests were up.

[I'm off to school. I will try to make at least some small posts throughout the day.]

Liesl woke up, hitting her head on the ceiling.

"Ow!"

Then she remembered. Transylvania. Dracula. This perfect vacation had to be ruined just because of some stupid train driver and some murders. Not to mention that she had just hit her head on the ceiling. Getting up, she walked to the door and peeked out. No one was in sight. She opened the door all the way and started walking down the long hallway, eager to be with more familiar faces. Who knows what could be in this castle.

(Yeah. . .I was here the whole time! You guys just didn't see me )

Sleeping in a Transylvanian castle was hard.

It was even harder trying to sleep in a Transylvanian castle when you had "The Transylvania Mania" from the Broadway musical Young Frankenstein stuck in your head. And when every little noise had you jumping, wondering if the sound was a murderer or vampire marking you out as his next victim.

Such was the night Clarissa had just had.

She rose, stretching her arms up over her head as she got out of bed and dressed. She ran into Liesl in the hall and gave the child a small smile. "I hope your night was more restful than mine...but somehow I doubt that." She gave a little shiver. "I don't like this place. Beautiful by day, I'm sure, the perfect setting for some Gothic romance, but...let's just say I could do with more mundane accomodations after everything we've just endured."

"EEP! Spiders?" cried Alariya as she looked at *Sparkle with a look of surprise. "Erm, I don't mind the monsters, but I am deathly afraid of spiders!!! And monster spiders? Please. Don't talk like that! I know I'm dead and that nothing can hurt me, but spiders still creep me out!"

She said all this as the color drained from her face... er if that's possible for a ghost...

Sparkle had slept quite well, despite all the unpleasant events of that day. She had ordered Prokopy to keep watch in front of her door and had also barricaded her door with an ancient-looking chair. Keeping her peperspray close, Sparkle had slept and slept until a loud noise woke her up. She realised that it was morning and quickly got dressed. Deciding not to wake Prokopy, who was sleeping on the doorstep of the room, she wandered through the hallways and was glad to come across Clarissa and Liesl. "Good morning!" she smiled, looking more sparkly than before. Although the Horseman sudden disappearance still unsettled her, she felt better than the day before. "Have you already found the breakfast parlour?"

She turned to Sparkle. "No, I certainly haven't, I just got up. What about we all try and find it, all three of us?"

"In here!" Nurr called out from a door to their right. She sat at the table, idly playing a game of Solitaire while she waited for the rest of the guests to arrive. "This castle reminds me of Beauty and the Beast! Big, drafty, mysterious...I keep expecting to run into an enchanted candlestick! I'd mostly like to explore a bit, though. Anyone else up for it?" She felt faint goosebumps at the thought of wandering the halls of Castle Dracula.

Crystal sat at a table in the dinning room and watched as The Horseman entered. He looked…Er…rested. "Sure," she said when she heard Nurr's offer to explore. "I guess if we explore we will know exactly what will eat us."

"Eat us? Eat us?! My dear, why on earth would you think something would want to eat us? Killing is certainly an option, but not for food.

Why, hello Sir Algernon," she said as he entered. "I really must thank you for managing to get your cousin to let us stay. It is much better than a broken down train."

The thought of being killed really didn't make Crystal feel any better. It got her to laugh though for some unknown reason. "Haha! Well, I guess that is a silver lining," Crystal replied to Nurr. Upon hearing Nurr thank The Horseman, she figured she probably owed him one as well. And even though this is a creepy place that seems to glare at every move you make, thank you for getting us out of the cold, Sir Algernon."

Clarissa joined Crystal and Nurr in the dining room, Liesl and Sparkle presumably following behind. Clarissa gave a smile at Nurr's Disney reference. "Be our guest, be our guest, put our service to the test.." she sang as she pulled up a chair. "Creepy and disorienting as it is, this is a fascinating location, and given the circumstances we should probably thank our lucky stars that we're here at all. I'd love to explore the castle after we eat if anyone wants to join me." She made a face. "Using the buddy system would probably be wise, don't you think?" She pasted on a smile, trying to stay positive. "So, what's for breakfast at...er...Castle Dracula?"

Crystal had a busy day exploring the Castle with everyone. She hadn't found anything too deadly so that put her mind somewhat at ease. At the moment she was wondering around the castle trying to find some of the other guests. They all seemed to have disappeared. Finally, she walked into the drawing room and saw The Horseman.

"Hello," she said as she walked in. "This really is an impressive place. The grounds really aren't what someone would expect." Alright, it was a poor excuse for small talk, but it was something. This castle still creeped Crystal out, but it seemed less creepy when she was talking with someone.
