Taunaki was so absorbed in her book that she didn't even notice Nurr and Alariya approach her.

But when they spoke, she jumped and dropped her book, "Sorry...yeah. Books...deaths. I'm sorry. I really needed a distraction."

Liesl joined the trio. "I think we all do. Just a nice break from all the death and gloom would be nice. But what could we do?"

"What's this? Dracula's castle?" Moririellë said. "Oh, how fascinating! And such a creepy place at that." She stepped inside the Entrance Hall of the castle and was awestruck. "Goodness! This place is massive!" she said. "Where should I explore first?" She looked to her left and Moririellë came to her answer rather quickly. "Oh, the library," she said. "I wonder what kind of books are kept in this old castle."

(Sorry I haven't been here, guys...I had a funeral to go to. But I'm back now, so let's keep the fun going!)

Clarissa had hung back as she watched Liesl, Sparkle, and Nurr chat, her arms crossed over her chest as she pretended to browse the selection of books on the shelves. In reality, however, she was eavesdropping, hoping that one of them would mention any ideas they had about the identity of the murderer instead of their incessant babble about distractions and exploring. Clarissa wanted nothing more than to solve this whole case herself, but despite the Nancy Drew mysteries she had devoured as a child and the Agatha Christies she read now, she was beginning to realize that her own sleuthing skills were...lacking. Severley. And although she would never ask for it, she would need help if she wanted to crack this case.

'Help', of course, meant bouncing ideas off of others and then piecing together the rest by herself.

"I'll join you," she said to Nurr, bounding up beside her. "I heard rumors of their being a billiards room somewhere around here, and a castle of this size simply must have a ballroom...why, it's like being in that mansion in the game of Clue!" She gave a ringing laugh. "Come on, who's coming with us?"

She tugged on Nurr's sleeve, bringing her close enough to whisper in her ear. "Just between you, me, and the floorboards...do you think the killer is really one of us? And that they'll strike again before we manage to get out of here?"

"Clue," Liesl muttered. "It's exactly like that, deaths included." She shook her head to clear off those thoughts. They were not what she needed right now. "I'll come," she volunteered.

Alariya floated around the castle.

"I'm much more graceful as a ghost! I'm kind of enjoying thi- Oh dear. Another murder?! What on earth is going on?! This is awful! Does everyone have to die before we figure out this mystery? Who wants us dead and why? Ooohhhh. This is terrible!"

"EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!!!" Sparkle screamed. "I'm dead! Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no..!" She looked up at the group of guests, sparkling tears falling down her transparent cheeks. "This is all your fault!" Sparkle sobbed, glaring at the Headless Horseman. "If you didn't bring us here, I had never died.. And now I never had the chance to sparkle, or be the sparkliest, or to tell that I love you.."
Sparkle stopped for a moment, covering her mouth with her hands, shocked that she finally declared her love for her headless hero.

"I told you we shouldn't have come here!" she continued whining. "It all happened when I went to bed..I came across a small pile of sparkles on my way to my room for a sparkle filled dream. It was so sparkly and bright.. Drawn by the sparklyness of the pile of sparkles, I picked some up and threw it in the air. It was so beautiful. I danced around happily, celebrating the sparklyness of it all."
Sparkle floated towards the Horseman and continued her story: "Suddenly, a wind began to blow, picking the sparkles out of the air and down the hallway. I wanted to catch them again.. It were my beautiful sparkles so I wanted to get them back.. I followed the sparkles down the corriders and into the refrigeration room, which I didn't know of course, but then I should have known, as we were in the castle of Lord Dracula. I only noticed it until when the air suddenly got colder and I couldn't breath. I was so afraid and I wanted to leave but when I turned I could just see someone shutting the door..."

There was a short silence for a while, in which Sparkle shook her very sparkly hair. "And then I died..all alone.. in the cold..And let me tell you," she said, glaring at all all guests, "my death wasn't coincedence! I died because I accused the real killer!"

"Wait!" Liesl drifted over to the group around Sparkle. "I'm dead too, and trust me, it was very unpleasant. And very foolish of me, I suppose. I slipped on a half-eaten apple and broke my neck! I was on my way to my room you know, as it was getting late and then there I fell on the Grand Staircase! It was horrible! One moment I'm standing upright, and then the next moment I'm not! Whoever left that apple there should have finished it before I went up there." She glared at the surrounding onlookers. "And this means I can't play my guitar for a party again! It's just horrible."

Actress-turned-sleuth Solves Tale of Transylvanian Terror! Former Ophelia Cracks Murder Mystery! Okay, the headlines needed some work, but Clarissa had gone to drama school, not journalism school. The point was, this was her last chance to figure it all out.

"You think you were killed because you accused the murderer? So they killed you to cover it up and protect their innocence? Who did you accuse, Sparkle? Are you sure it was them--did you see them do it? Because if you're right...then finding the killer shouldn't be too hard at all."
