And I like Mary Poppins. "Mary Poppins, Practically Perfect in Every Way."

You know, you can say it backwards, which is 'dociousaliexpilisticfragicalirepus', but that's going a bit too far, don't you think?

So watched part of Pocahontas today while I worked out, was reminded how awesome that movie is, and how adorable Meeko is. Not easy to sing along with the songs while you're on an exercise bike though...

With the whistling rooster? I. Loved. Robin. Hood.

I love Disney films! I've been brought up on them, and a highlight of any trip to a city where there was a Disney store, was going into it and seeing what I could get my parents to buy for me.
My favourite Disney film of all time is Beauty and the Beast. It took them over 60 years to reach their pinnacle of perfection, but it was worth the wait.
I also like Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmations, Lilo and Stitch, Robin Hood ("MUMMY!"), Basil the Great Mouse Detective and more I can't think of. Oh, of course the Lion King and The Little Mermaid.
I watched Alice in Wonderland for the first time in ages last year and was quite disappointed. I also don't really like Pinocchio or Snow White (although the animation is stunning, it's just not my thing).

Glad to know there are other people who still get a little freaked out with Disney movies. I absolutely love The Great Mouse Detective, but I watched it a week or so ago and Fidget still freaked me out when he busts through the window in the beginning of the movie, and then when he sits up outta that baby bed! I always hated those parts.

OOOHHHH YES!!!!! that part of that movie freaks me out too.... And the part in Lion King with the hyenas that are going to eat Simba and Nala. Even though I know that Mufasa will rescue them it still scares me....And Lion King is one of my all-time favorite movies! (its on the same list as LotR and Phantom of the Opera, (which are my other favorite movies....))

Oh, and Cruela DeVil in 101 Dalmatians, when she is chasing the van with the puppies in it and she rides up right behind the van and her eyes are all crazy and hair is blowin, that always freaked me out too!

Not a classic Disney movie, or even a movie, but still Disney...
Last night I was talking with my boyfriend about TV shows. Neither of us watch much TV and never have, even as children. And he just says, "I liked Disney's Große Pause... with TJ, and the big one, Mikey..."
And I freaked out, because I watched Recess, too. (: It was such a happy discovery that we were watching the same show growing up an ocean away.

I think the bit in Snow White that always scared me was when she was running through the forest and everything seemed to have eyes and was alive. It's really well animated, but I remember it bothering me.
Oh, yeah. That scene with Fidget bothered me as well. Actually the whole toy shop scene is really creepy.
The worst scenes though were in Dumbo. I never liked the opening scene with all the men singing, and the rain pouring... it just freaked me out, and I NEVER liked any of the scenes with the clowns. But the worst scene was probably when Dumbo's mother was locked away. It was cruel and it made me sad as a child, and it still does.

Here's a movie I dont think has been talked about yet, Toy Story. I loved that movie, just the whole idea that toys are there for you and loyal to you, its cute. I had a Woody doll that I carried around with me, even slept with him, I absolutely adored him! Then my brother ripped his pull string out, lost his cowboy hat, almost tore both his hands off (they just flopped around held on by a little fabric), and ripped off his belt. And now actually, I cant even find him anymore! I've been trying to find a replacement since theres a new Toy Story craze, but none of the new ones are like the one I got when the first movie came out, he says different things now. but anyway, I just thought of Toy Story and its awesomeness.
