[Mods: feel free to move this if you think it's too question-y for the section. I just figured this is the place where it's most likely to attract the attention of potential entrants.  ]
Let's face it: the Contest section is pretty dead right now.  However, I've had two contest ideas floating around in my head since... September, really, though I never got around to starting either of them.
Since I'm a little busy at the moment, I don't think I can run both at the same time. Therefore, I'd like to ask: Which would you prefer?
1. LotR Quote Contest
Tolkien wrote some gorgeous lines. The writers for the movies added more gorgeous lines. Why not celebrate them? Each round would be a different quote from the books or the movies, which entrants would have to incorporate into a blend or a banner (I'm thinking blends would work better).
2. LotR Favorites
Basically inspired by the LotR 30 Day Challenge on tumblr. Each round would have a different topic, like Favorite Elf or Favorite Location, maybe even more general like Favorite Movie.
I intend to start both of these eventually, but for now, which would you like to see?

Oooh, I love both ideas. I think the Favorites one would start the contests going again and get the creative moods flowing, and then the Quotes one could get more headway going into it?

Like Gilthoniel I'd probably take part in both! I think they're both really good ideas, but slightly more in favour of the favourites one, because its more original! _________________

I'm all in favor of a quotes contest! However, both are great ideas, so you can't go wrong.
