Thanks GP! Today was much better! Went apple picking, had Red Lobster for dinner, and spent the evening watching a RDJr movie! Yep, definitely better.

Then you'd hate to open our refrigerator! One whole shelf is just piled with apples! They were $1.99 a pound, and we picked $86 worth!!

I looooooooooove apple picking. There's a fantastic apple orchard (they grow other things too like raspberries and peaches and pumpkins) about 25 minutes down the road from where my family lives. I'm just sad that because of the drought this summer, the apple crop is basically going to be nonexistent. Also I have the worst cold ever right now. Today has been rough.

Apples are the best, but I miss the feeling of biting into a fresh one... (I've got braces, ya see?) All i can do is cut em up. *sad* And last Easter, I got a huge, chocolate and caramel covered apple! *drools* Twas beautiful. i couldnt resist. I ate it anyway.

There's a store in a town about half an hour away that makes the absolute best caramel apples ever. They're enormous and they make about a hundred different varieties, with different fruits and nuts and chocolates and candies stuck on the caramel... there's one especially delicious one that has dried cherries and dark chocolate and I could live off of them.

I don't like apples by themselves that much, but I love making things with apples in them. We have an apple tree in our yard that has an AMAZING crop this year - I think it's been too dry for the bugs that normally get to them. So I've made apple nut bread (and muffins), apple crisp, apple strudel, and apple cider. And we STILL have a ton left to do things with.
Also guys, I'm so excited because I just applied to the most fantastic job! It's as an editor for a gaming company and in the application I had to tell my top 5 favorite movies, my favorite director, and how I would thrive after an apocalypse. It was actually a FUN application. I would love that job. *crossing fingers*

^ Good luck with that application Nurr, I hope you get the job! Although I like eating apples when they're just apples, you can make me extremely happy with apple crisp and apple pie I especially love making them myself, because they make the house smell like cinnamon and apples and sugar, and nothing, NOTHING, beats apple pie straight out of the oven

And good luck with the job! Anything that has a fun application must be a great thing indeed.

Apples! And cinnamon sugar! Am I the only one who absolutely loves applesauce with cinnamon sugar, or do other people do that as well?

Oh definitely! It's the only way to eat applesauce. Ness, I've heard so many people say they like rhubarb pie. What does it taste like? Because it's never sounded appetizing to me. (My mom doesn't like pie, so we hardly ever have it around our house - I get the occasional cherry/apple/pumpkin at family gatherings.)
