but these shire folk are used to it on a regular bases! No wonder Sam was always wishing for a nice, sturdy "hobbit meal"

Gods, how I love hobbits! My favorite race from Middle-Earth, they are very similar to me, maybe except eating  I would love to live with them in Shire. Peaceful land that my heart crave for. _________________ I will move the mail!  Elrond banner by Erin.

I adore hobbits. I think they're a magnificent creation by Tolkien. There's just something so endearing about them! They've got that happy go lucky attitude, yet they're so internally strong. They can stand up to the changes and temptations of the world better than pretty much any of the other races.
