Oooh, the Princess Bride is such a good book! I love it.
I just went to the Book Nook today, our local secondhand store. I love walking through it because they tend to have a lot of really awesome hardcover books. Last time I was there I got The Thirty-Nine Steps (a mystery) that had a cover that looked like puzzle pieces, and this time I *almost* got a gold-edged Little Women. I just love the style of old books.

Princess Bride! I love the movie, but I never got into the book enough to read the whole thing. And I agree, Nurr, old books are the best. I was in a store over the summer that had rare books and manuscripts - it was fascinating! They had the original editions of the Lewis and Clark journals.

I've never seen The Princess Bride all the way through. I watched some of it in French class, but we never finished it. I know. I hear your protests.
Guys, I'm more or less in love with Durham after less than a day. My college has some lovely people in it and I get to walk past a castle. Now, if only the internet actually worked decently...

I liked The Princess Bride book, but I cant say its one of my favorites. I haven't seen the movie yet, a friend of mine owns it so I may watch it sometime when I'm at her house. Still not sure if I want to read my mystery novel next, or Jane Eyre. One thing I am sure of, I geeked out over Nurr's Robin Hood banners!!! I loved that show, unfortunately I missed the last few episodes of the final season, and have yet to see them. I think its because I know what happens, and I'm in denial about it.

Lith, you haven't seen Princess Bride? my goodness what have you been doing with yourself? It is one of my family's favorite movies...my brother and i can alternate lines and do most of it.... And the book is very much like the movie. And I didn't really care for Jane Eyre...
I am reading (er, rereading...) The Thief, by Margret Whalen Turner. Anyone else heard of it?

How have you people not seen The Princess Bride? HOW DID YOU SURVIVE LIFE?? (Don't mind me, it's late and my mind is in tumblr tag mode. Random stuff happens when that happens.) Okay, granted, Princess Bride may be the type of movie you have to grow up with to really love, but still. Oh, season three of Robin Hood. Sigh. I loved season one. I adored season two (up until the last episode, but still. Enjoyable overall.) Season three....I liked the first two episodes, and the last two episodes. Everything in between made me cry/scream/pull my hair out/want to fire the writers/want to write the episodes myself/etc. Also their treatment of Much and Allan (ESPECIALLY ALLAN AT THE END) really irked me. I could go on a lot of rants about season three. But I do still love the show, despite that.

Well, when I was a kid if it wasn't a book I could read, or a Marvel or Batman cartoon I wasn't all that interested. I know Nurr, I loved season 1, it was so cute and mischevious, full of adventure! It was all about outwitting the Sheriff, like the stories! It was my favorite season. Season 2 was still really good, their missions had more meaning and importance, characters really grew in depth and started to change, but I didnt like how the last episode ended. Which made Season 3 my least favorite, but still enjoyable, but I did have a lot of those cry/scream/pull my hair out moments as well. I dont know what happened to any of the other characters besides Robin, though. Oh I just loved Robin! So cute!

I really want to see Robin Hood! Oh, there are so many things I want to see though. *sings* The list goes ever on and on..... My little brother just gave me his Thor action figures! (I'll admit, he's only got two, but who cares?) I iz happy.

Hello October! (in a few hours anyway) I just love the fall! Even though my allergies act up at this time of year, and it gets a little too chilly for my liking, and I'm nervous about lettin my dog run free during hunting season, aside from all that I love fall!

Yay for the start of October I think this is one of my favorite moments in the year: the cold hasn't really started to set in yet, but the air gets cooler and very fresh, and I love all the color-changing leaves and misty cobwebs (although I hate getting my hair stuck in one). And looking for chestnuts is one of my favorite outdoors activities, so I know what I'll be doing this weekend

I love this time of year too. Its wonderful.
Speaking of cobwebs, my dad walked into a big one the other day, so he took it and put it on me! Bleh. Oh, I've got so many spider stories to tell....

Halloween isn't really celebrated here, but usually I get together with some friends to throw our own little Halloween party And ofcourse we all dress up, which is half the fun of it! But I haven't decided about this year's costume yet

I'm gonna use my Goofy costume again. It still fits, is in great condition, and the little kids love it! Plus its a little too chilly to be one of the Iron Girls from the Iron Man 2 movie.
