Mind if I join you all? I've been writing for quite a few years now. A lot of it is mostly broken up fragments of story but I did manage to complete one short story.

Certainly! Okay, I have this problem. Whenever I spend a lot of time reading, I stop writing, and vice versa. Does this happen to anyone else? I hate it, because I love reading, but it means my own creativity disappears entirely. I haven't even written fanfic in a few weeks, and that's my default writing-for-the-sake of writing thing.

When I'm writing fiction I tend to stop reading, but when I'm writing non-fiction, I will still reading. And I have started on another project on New Years eve.

So, Arabella and I started writing a Christmas story together. It's about these kids who are in the play of A Christmas Carol, and somehow they get sucked into the story where they get to teach the younger children about what Christmas really means.

^^ And it's awesome and I love writing with you.
So, my New Year's resolution was to write something, anything, every day of the year, and I'm doing really well so far! I hope I can keep this up, I have a lot of ideas for projects in the works.

I'd like to join this club.
I love writing. I usually write fanfiction. I haven't written anything about LotR yet, but I hope to eventually.

Well I have gotten some work done, mostly devotionals, and getting back on track with the non-fiction project I have been working on lately.

May I join? I'm quite handy with a pen... er, keyboard. I'm handy with a keyboard. I've been writing since childhood, though my improvements only really began in leaps and bounds in recent years. I love to write fiction, either historical or what could vaguely be described as fantasy. I hate saying I write fantasy because people immediately assume, Oh, kings, dragons, warlocks, quests and stuff, right? Right, when it couldn't be farther from the truth. My current works include this book which you can read the vague idea about on the LegendFire forums. The idea seems stupid now, but I'm already in so I must continue!! I'm also starting a two part series called The Coattail King and The Turncoat Prince, respectively. It's my pet project that will probably never see the light of day. It's main purpose is to express my own thoughts and beliefs and as such it's very private and I'm quite scared to tell any facts about it. Of course there is also my fanfiction which I work on from time to time... it's highly unimportant.

Anyone else love how thereapeutic writing can be? So last night I was talking to a friend of mine from high school about dating and boys and Valentine's Day and we got to talking about my disappointing homecoming experience senior year (long story, involves the fact that the guy I liked for four years was actually a total jerk). So I got kind of upset, so I wrote a story about it to make myself feel better, and it worked. (Of course, it helped that it was another Doctor Who story. )

I think of writing as work, though sometimes it can help. But most of the time. I think of it as work. (mostly because of my family and some of my extended family.)

May I join?
I think that I like to write mainly because I love reading so much. Typical signs of my writerousness (besides making up completely random words) include reading when I should be writing, staring at a blinking cursor on a computer screen for minutes at a time, and continually deleting my last sentence. Occasionally I actually write something, and when I do, it feels great.

Viggo, it doesn't look like the member who runs the club is very active anymore, but as far as I'm concerned, you can consider yourself joined!
