Aralas, half-bored, walked over to the rest of the men who were sitting on a table playing cards. "Hey, don't men know how to have some real fun? Let's have some duels here!" She pushed the table over, snickering and that got the men out of their seats. From her 'peaceful' pale blue Elvish clothes she drew a sword. With men racing after her with rage, she ran and hopped onto a makeshift stage and yelled, "Rules. No blood. Real swords and axes. The person wins when someone surrenders." The first challenger came up. "Ready when you are," he called from across the stage. Aralas pretended to be fidgeting with something and the man let his gaze wander. Quick as a flash, she ran towards and behind him, jumped onto his back and put her sword at his throat. His eyes widened. "Surrender or you wouldn't want to know what would happen," she cried. The crowd slowly drew away from the archery challenge and crept towards the stage. They gasped. Aralas repeated with a bold voice, "Surrender or else." The challenger dropped his weapon and weakly replied,"White flag." Aralas jumped off and grinned. "Next match?" Everyone shook their head. "Surely you cannot be so afraid of a bold girl." And with that, she jumped off the stage, at a height of six feet and ran to the food tables. She turned around, and a match began between Fili and Dean, her godfather. She looked around, and her relatives seemed to be immersed in the duel. She stuck her finger in the chocolate fountain for five seconds, then proceeded to stick it in her mouth. The archery challenge was abandoned. Aralas looked around, and poured herself a quarter of a goblet of wine, then drank it up slowly. She laughed to herself and thought,"I wouldn't be able to do this at home." Aralas turned just in time to see another match of sword fighting start, Fili just won the other. Winners were on one side of the area, losers on the other with people who haven't played. Aralas went to a nearby tree and climbed to have some peace and a good spot to watch the duel tournament. She was determined to win and looked at the others' strategies. The winners would compete against each other after everyone had played, and she wanted to beat others ages older than her.

"Yes, definitely. I only wish we could have a bowl of..." Aralas replied but trailed off. She jumped off the height of six and a half feet and ran to the chocolate fountain, but not before grabbing a bowl. She filled the bowl with melted chocolate and drank. "Ooh. If only we had some chocolate liquor to complete chocolate heaven." Her eyes lit up and she plopped some on a saucer. She blew on it and it turned hard in a minute. Aralas snickered. She scraped the hardened chocolate off with a knife and walked to the stage, hiding the treasure behind her back. Legolin suddenly appeared behind her, and Alatariel at her tail. The last match in the first round was just ending, and in the next round, Aralas would play again, opposing the other winners. "Let's see how the guys scream," she whispered to Legolin and Alatariel. All the men who participated in the first round gathered on the stage and took a bow. "Where's Aralas?" one of them asked. Aralas giggled and placed the chocolate at the men's feet. Yes, it looked like a pile of dung. They all screamed girlishly. This was her cue. She jumped onto the stage and picked up the cluster. Slowly, making sure everyone saw, she broke off a chunk and raised it to her mouth. Even the men turned pale. The bold girl stuck it in her mouth and chewed. "This stuff is good! Want some?" The crowd groaned with disgust. Aralas walked to the men gathered on the stage, holding out her hand with the chocolate. She broke off chunks and the guys' jaws dropped to the floor. Quickly, she tossed pieces into their mouths. She ran behind the line and jumped onto Dean's back. "You'll thank me in advance, godfather," she whispered in his ear and plopped the biggest chunk into his mouth. She hopped off and calmly walked to the end of the line. The men were standing, dumbfounded and paralyzed on the stage, thinking that their mouths were full of poop. "Pleh!" one exclaimed, and spit it out of his mouth. "Hey! It's chocolate!" another said, and the other man stuck the chunk back into his mouth. Moaning was heard from the crowd. Aralas smiled big in front of the crowd and bowed. Fili glanced at her and gave her a 'you'll-pay-for-this' look, and Dean gave her a -stop-making-a-scene look. Aralas smiled even bigger. Suddenly, she burst out laughing and her relatives did the same. (This is so fun!)

(Just try not to role-play other people too much, okay? It's generally okay to do something like "the group moved here" but it's usually better to leave specific reactions up to the posters. That way we can all move the action along too! )

Mat chewed the chocolate thoughtfully. It did taste rather good. Sidling up to Nurr, he swiped a marshmallow off her plate and popped it in his mouth. "I'm glad you stayed out of the dueling," Nurr said with a resigned sigh. "I can still picture poor Gawyn with his head bandaged up moaning away."

"Didn't have my quarterstaff," Mat shrugged. "And I guess that's the end of cards." He spied something off on the other side of the pavilion and ran off, Nurr watching him with a quizzical look on her face. Shortly after, strains of lilting (Was that Irish? she wondered) tunes floated throughout the room. Mat reappeared at her side. "Dance?" Without waiting for an answer he grabbed her hand and pulled her over, starting a quick soft-step.

The dance was a traditional one from his hometown, meant to be used at May Day gatherings with large crowds. Nurr grabbed the hand of the person nearest her, hardly registering who it was, and pulled them into the song as well.

The duelling was down to Aralas and Fili.
Yes, this was her chance, and Fili's chance for payback time, but she wouldn't let him have a chance. One game, and winner takes all, plus bragging rights. In third place stood the dashing hunter Dean. Fili and Aralas walked up to the stage on different sides. He met her eyes with a fierce glare, and she met his glare with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Aralas was determined to beat a dwarf a bit shorter than her who was over a hundred years old. He was tough, she was flexible. Fire fights water. In this case, she was water; it bends and wears away hard rock slowly, over the course of centuries, but it can be dangerous, wild and unpredictable. He was fire; he destroyed fast and forcefully. His axe was firm in his hand, and newly sharpened. She was armed with a sword and knives. It was all down to this, this one match.
The referee called out for the match to start, and Aralas swiftly ran behind Fili. She sheathed her sword and kicked him down on his stomach before he could react. (What happened to quick reflexes? she thought) The young girl drew a knife and held it at his throat, but he hoisted himself up to his feet before she could sit on him and she fell flat on her back. "I'm not that easy to defeat," he whispered with a voice thick and mysterious. "There's something called a dagger. I have several on hand," she said. She pointed a dagger to his chest, even though he was on top of her. "Surrender. You have no other choice. Stick a knife at my throat and you wouldn't want to know what would happen." She drove it a little harder into his chest. Fili drew back. "Game over," Aralas said, satisfied. She stood up and took a bow. She jumped off the stage and got into the dance eagerly.

Lithi turned to Holmes as the music started up, and taking hold of his arm she said, "Dance with me, please?" He looked over at her, eyebrow arched in amusement. "Oh come now, have a little fun! That doesn't include dead people or theft." "As you wish, my lady." he joked, offering her his arm and leading her to the others already dancing.

Lhun was pulled into the song by Nurr, but not before grabbing Sherlock's sleeve. "Come on lazy, let's get those legs moving." Although hesitantly at first, Sherlock soon picked up the pace and they twirled around with the other dancers. After a few quick songs the music slowed down to an easy waltz, allowing the dancers to get their breath back and to relax their legs. "Remind me again why we don't dance more often?" Lhun asked. Sherlock smiled and murmered something nearly inaudible, but sounding suspiciously like "Boring."

Aralas broke away from the dance once it got complicated. She didn't know how to dance anything, and things were mellowing down. She took a turn on the piano and played a prelude by Bach. (What should we have now? Another card game? Or the long-forgotten fireworks?)

Suddenly, a firework shot into the air above them and a shower of blue,green and red followed.Fili appeared by Aralas."So there, you troublemaker, no one can hear your music now!!" Legolin crept up behind Fili,"oh no you don't pester my friend Aralas,her joke on you was a good one!!" Dean walked up to Fili and Legolin hid in the shadows." There Goddaughter, that's what you deserve being a troublemaker!!" Dean jumped as Legolin leapt out of a tree." Be nice both of you and continue the fireworks!!!" Then to Aralas she said,"Come on, we need to recruit people for the race!!!!!" The two friends ran off to recruit people...

Aralas rolled her eyes. "Legolin, don't you agree that the men, not I were being troublemakers? All the betting and everything.. and plus, this spring party was supposed to be a family gathering. They didn't even appreciate all Lhun has done to prepare for this party." She shook her head. Aralas hopped onto the nearest empty table. "Come one, come all! Who would like to join a relay race?" Aralas shouted at the top of her voice. Heads turned, and Fili and Dean looked up and spotted their next chance for revenge.

Legolin laughed and set up cones for the race. The girls lined up on the right and the men lined up on the left. Fili and Dean mysteriously disappeared."watch out for those two" Legolin whispered to her group. "On your mark get set go!!!" Yelled Aralas as Sherlock ans Legolin sprinted off....

Alatáriël was setting on the corner watching all of the fun around her, she is happy that her husband got along with the whole family. Dean is acting like he has been part of this family for ages, she smiled to herself then jumped on her feet "Tonight I am a lover, so hear me speaks." all hushed and silence prevail. As Alatáriël started to hum a song; she is known for her angelic pure voice. All gathered around to hear her sings a love song from the ancient time, in elvish she sang but still a smile drawn upon her husband's face; he is not a fan of soft music but he has been touched by her voice.

Aralas smiled as her godmother sang, and for once her godfather was happy. Quietly from the crooks of her cloak she drew a recorder and played a soft tune along with the Elvish song. She knew how the song went because it was the couple's favourite song. She didn't want to mess it up for the both of them. Fortunately Dean didn't notice and didn't mind. She put down her recorder and sang the harmony. The couple was pushed together and slowly, all the couples joined, dancing into the song.
