"Being foolish," Anabel sighed. "The orcs came to Rohan. I was 12. They called all the children inside. I was mad, as I thought that I wasn't a child. I stayed out. The orcs found me and took me to Mordor. They kept me in a cell. Every day for three years they came in and gave me a choice: death or joining them. Every day for three years I said death. Then on my fifteenth birthday they came in ready to actually kill me. I freaked out and did what it took to survive. I joined."

Aralas prepared her things and went with Anariel to the place where the Fellowship was supposed to meet up. "I hope this is enough. And I hope I won't die," Aralas said quietly to her friend as they sat on a bench, waiting for the others. "Me too. But if something happens, I'll stay with you to the end," Anariel replied, taking her friend's hand. "Your skills need some work," Legolas said, suddenly appearing. "Let's practice," he suggested. "Yes, let's," Anariel said, standing up and noticing her cousin arrive. "Come on, Boromir." The elves practiced shooting targets and Boromir and Anariel practiced with their swords. "Not bad," Boromir said, when they heard footsteps.

Anabel got out her sword and practiced with Anariel and Boromir, when she was done she got out her bow and practiced with the elves.

Aragorn arrived, and soon Boromir was having fun teaching Merry and Pippin how to fight. Aralas put down her bow and joined Anariel and Aragorn with her sword. Sam came, but he just watched. They were only waiting for Frodo now.

(Sorry for double-posting, but let's keep this going!) Frodo and Gandalf appeared and they put their weapons back in their proper places. "Well, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step," Anariel said to Aralas. They joined the rest of the group and stood with them. Aragorn lagged behind a bit, because he had just said farewell to Arwen. Then they took a last look at Rivendell and set their eyes to the East.

Anabel moved up next to Frodo. "Are you scared?" She asked. He looked at her and replied, "Somewhat, I suppose. You?" Anabel laughed. "Same. So I am Anabel and this is Lessien," she pointed to her friend. "I am Frodo," said the hobbit, "but I guess you already knew that."

Aralas and Anariel joined Anabel and Lessien. "Hi, Frodo. I'm Anariel and this is Aralas," she said cheerfully. Three hobbits pushed through the circle. "I'm Merry and this is Pippin," Merry said, looking at the Elves. "Hello," Pippin said. "I'm Samwise Gamgee." Aralas laughed at the look on Merry's face. She looked at Anariel who lost her cheerful look. "What's wrong?" Anariel looked at her friend. "I'm just a bit worried about Boromir," she sighed. "Oh," Aralas replied, understanding. "What about him?" one of the hobbits broke in. "Ah, er, nothing," Aralas said. That matter was between Anariel and her, no one else. They fell back a bit, just behind Legolas.

"What's eating you?" Aralas curiously asked after a long silence. "I just need to think. I need to be alone. Sorry, Aralas," Anariel said softly, and turned away. "It's alright," she replied, feelings unhurt. She understood. "Thank you," Anariel said with a hint of a sad smile on her face. Aralas went forward a bit and saw that they were approaching a group of rocks. "What are we doing?" she asked Gandalf. "We'll have a rest there," he answered, pointing to the ruins. Finally, she thought, but said nothing and joined the hobbits' conversation.
