Ok. Guys, you seem to be fighting, so can you BOTH get over it? Thank you!
I'm not fighting, I'm carrying on a discussion, there is a vast difference. Maybe it's time to let it go, but I don't think you get to dictate who is allowed to post what where. But this is getting off topic and pointless, since my point of view isn't being heard. Keep enjoying the movie, I suppose.

I don´t know the appendices that well but I couldn´t find any mistake.

So, has anyone else seen Born of Hope other than Lothiriel, Elenia and me?
....and I just found this thread. It was cool reading the anticipation of this movie, but reading page 3 was, other than chuckling at the entertainment of some classic internet drama, in this case, someone carrying on how they didn't like the movie even though they hadn't, and had no intention to watch it, but was full of repeated commentary about it, was a waste of time.
Moving on....Yes, I have watched it a number of times now. I enjoyedBorn of Hopevery much. It seemed true to the known canon of the time period, and the artistic license wasn't too over-the-top. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I too don't see Gilraen as a blonde, but other than that, the actor portrayed Gilraen quite well. I also thought Chieftain Arador looked a bit more aged than how I would have portrayed him, but again, the part was played well. Kate Madison's Ranger character was a beautiful insertion of herself into the world and accentuates her fandom. One scene that bothered me and didn't seem to be in the character of the Dunedain and the Sons of Elrond was the arguing and carrying on about strategy and such while the orcs moved in on then. That whole sequence didn't seem plausible. But it was good to see young Aragorn ad young Halbarad, and Arathorn was probably the best portrayed and acted canon character of the move (aside from his ending... the acting was a bit cliche.
Is the movie perfect? No. Is the acting a bit rough and cliche at times? Yes. But I think it is quite well done and I thank Kate and crew for putting this out there. I would personally prefer to watch this again over the P.J. movies, with the possible exception of Fellowship Of The Ring. I highly recommend watching Born of Hope, and it is much easier to watch now than when it first came out. Here is the Youtube link to the full movie...
I'll edit to say that I watched this on my UHDTV and it appeared pretty solid as far as tech goes. But... with a bigger screen the flaws in acting and some costuming became apparent which could be overlooked on a computer screen.

Was it ever available on DVD? Is it perhaps still available?

YouTube - well, too bad, that takes care of that.
It was only allowed to be streamed online after a deal was made with the Tolkien Estate lawyers. No money was made with this except maybe for the Estate by selling a few more books. The movie couldn't be sold for profit, which takes nothing away from Kate and all who were a part of making it. I think presenting it on youtube is still considered 'streaming only'
