Just wondering if others are more excited about seeing the Desolation of Smaug than they were for An Unexpected Journey??? I didn't think I could have been more excited than I was about seei g the first one but i gotta say I a million times more excited now than I was at this time last year. I have stayed away from spoilers, even though ive read the book I still want to go in fresh as possible. I just got a feeling this is gonna be epic to say the least & in less than 2 days I get to see it! WoooooooHoooooooo!!!!!!!!!

With AUJ I had only read the book...and I wasnt obsessed at all!

Me too. I'm setting my alarm tonight for midnight so I can wake up and call my friend, be all like, "THE HOBBIT'S OUT!" I never woulda done that for AUJ

I am sooo hyper because of DoS right now. I totally kept hugging all my friends and screaming "Hi!" at them and then I'd go up to my LotR friend and be like, "5 hours!"

It has been 1 1/2 hours since DoS came out. Moviegoers are still in theaters! (I cant go to the midnight premiere, but im still pulling an up all nighter!  _________________ Formerly Legolin12

Comparing the waiting time for both films I must admit I was more excited and couldn't wait for An Unexpected Journey. It's odd, but with the coming of December I sort of have lost the feeling it's already time for Desolation of Smaug...
Personally I'll watch it not until the 27th Dec, there's still time and that may be the reason of my not-being-excited-at-all (so far). Or that this will change when I re-read The Hobbit before going to cinema. :]

I think I have the same level of excitement lol, maybe I had more for Unexpected Journey because it was YEARS in the making, YEARS waiting for it ever since I began reading rumours in 2007. I am yet to see DOS since it will premiere on the 19th here but I already know how it ends, makes me desperate for There And Back Again lol

The ending was awful!!!
But yeah...Dos and better than AUJ in my opinion!

They could have added or taken out like 20 minutes, and had a better ending.

Now myself, I loved the ending. Was shocked but thought it was a great cliffhanger that should have the excitement very high for There and Back Again. My daughter & nephew were with me & they were mad lol....I told them to read the book
