Ok, so we have a release date for the DVD! Physical copies (ie Blu-ray, DVD etc) release date is March 24th  Digital only: March 3rd! Prepare yourselves emotionally, my friends  I've heard that it gets sadder and sadder with each viewing  _________________ Formerly Legolin12

Cool. I am sure there will be a lot of people out in force to pick it up! Yeah.... it's sad enough right now.... other than that it's a great movie! lol At least, if you have all three and the LOTR trilogy you can watch them all in a row and see the end results of all those efforts and lost lives... and maybe... that gives them a little more meaning. *shrugs*

Same here. We will be waiting a long time like always. They're not released until November. I'll be grabbing it right away when it's out for pre-order, like I did with DoS. That was a very long two month wait lol

I'm not waiting, I'll be getting both versions, just like all the others. Even though I won't be watching BoFA as much as the other two (for obvious reasons), I'll still watch it. I'm planning on getting the 3D boxed sets for both the theatrical and extended editions of the films (I can always sell the extra copies on eBay), since then I'll be able to do a "marathon" of my own in the comfort of my own home (since they didn't have a Hobbit Trilogy marathon in theaters in my neck of the woods. I guess we're too small, since the city I live in is only a mid-sized city, not a major metropolis). And since I've seen all three movies in 3D, it's best if I own them in this format. And you're right, Emma, it does get more emotional with each viewing. After I came home from BoFA the second time, I couldn't stop crying, so it's best you have your tissues ready (even if you view the whole trilogy, since even that little bit at the end of AUJ makes me cry, but it's not as bad as BoFA, not by a long shot).  _________________

I always wait until I have money and usually that is after the EE is out (and has been out for a long time) I have yet to get the DoS EE... I've been hogging the rental copy at the library I'll probably do the same with bo5a until I have money  _________________ Formerly Legolin12

I love the extended versions but sometimes I would rather just watch the theatrical version.

I have got it around when the extended edition comes out for the first two movies, so I will for this one as well.
Hopefully it'll come out on regular DVD (Walmart doesn't count.)
