I'm going to be honest - and please don't take this the wrong way, I'm trying to be realistic not negative - I can't see anyone wanting to donate to a site that they don't visit anymore and that hasn't been updated for two years. It's a lot to ask! If we can't even persuade people to return to the forum I don't think we're going to get much further asking for money.

Personally the only thing I have ever donated to is an animal rescue to help save a cat with a broken jaw....last week.

No worries Aredhel... I would tend to agree with you. My main train of thought that if we get anything it's better than nothing...and who knows, maybe if they see we are serious about this revival and if we actually get some results it will draw a few of the old members back to the forum.

I'm not planning or expecting as much as I am just hoping and doing. What happens will happen, no changing that.

It's ok Aredhel. I understand what you're saying. I think my perspective
is a bit different though. I think it would seem like a lot to ask if we were
asking for large donations. But just a dollar or 2 doesn't seem like much.
Even though many of the members in the group don't actually use the forum
anymore, my hope is that ny remembering what a good place it was for them
that they will be willing to help keep it open for newcomers who also need a
positive place to talk with like-minded people of similar interests.

Hopefully it works, if not we can figure something else out

Alright Synariel I will do that!

I've had mutliple shares and re-pins of a couple of the pictures I have posted so far so I think pintrest could be a great option for exposure.
