Well, I know this is not "Fan art" as in LOTR based, but I was wanting some feedback on a cover I am trying to make for a collection of short stories I am working up. I figured since everyone here obviously loves LOTR and my writing is also fantasy, this might be a good crowd to get said feedback from. So here is the link and if you have an inkling let me know what you like AND dislike about it! I am very new to all this graphics design stuff so bear with me.... this is my 4th attempt at this cover and I finally feel like I am getting closer to what I want it to be like. This is the front AND back panels of the book cover side by side. EDIT: https://www.createspace.com/BookCoverPreview.do?bookID=5368081&previewType=FULL_SIZE

That cover is pretty amazing, Jax! I wish I had your skill with book cover making. It would make my book's cover so much prettier.

It looks pretty good. It's very reminiscent of the Song of Ice and Fire covers I know you're not meant to judge a book by it's cover- but can certainly tell it's a fantasy book I hope you don't mind me providing some feedback- it's all more composition based than anything else- the artwork is very good. I think it currently works well as a single image, but the red border might look strange translated into 3D- I think there should be a red border along the left hand edge of the Front cover, as having one side green might look a bit unbalanced when folded. I'd also try to align the text more centrally, your name is a bit too much to the left and out of line with the title. It also might work better to drop the title a bit lower, I think its getting a little bit lost so high up, bringing it down might make it more eye-catching Also, unless it's a very thin book- I'm not sure where the spine is? iI currently looks like the barcode might have crept onto it a bit, so it could be moved lower and more to the left . I also think a serif font, like Times New Roman, in black might work better for the back, the cartoony white text looks a little bit like it's a childrens' book. I hope I've not been too nit-picky, it's a great attempt

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Erin Lunaire, thanks. You should post some of your book covers here! I'd love to see them and remember, you are usually your own worst critic.
And Lembes, you certainly are not too nitpicky! I am trying to market a book to people and it needs to be picked at so I can pick out all the little flaws etc....
Thanks for all the suggestions! I do appreciate it and will certainly do some revamping on those areas.
As for the spine goes, this is going to be a shorter book of only about 100 pages so there will not be much of a spine.

I suppose it depends on how it's bound, but 100 pages is roughly about 1cm or 1/2 inch thick, some magazines and children's book are thinner than that and still need a spine Im not sure the current design would wrap around evenly front and back if it was 1/2 in thick. Adding or defining where your spine is will also help you to tell if the margins even front and back. Plus people need to know what the book it is when it's tucked into a shelf

I like it!
I might consider another font.

This is quite true Lembes.... I am still so new to all these ideas and thoughts.... I'm a writer but I am not a graphics designer. You sound like you know a deal about the subject. Thanks Thenidiel. Different for the front title or back cover on the text? At this point I am considering taking another rout with the cover.... not sure yet but I might just see how cheap I can hire someone to make it for me.

Alright, gotcha. Yeah, that was the text I kept having problems with. I can not find anything in the programs I have that seems to fit.

Today, I revisited a classic game on the site, one that I used to play years ago. The familiar graphics, soundtrack, and gameplay brought back a flood of fond memories. It was like stepping back in time and reliving a part of my childhood. Nostalgia https://realsbet-casino.click/ is a powerful force, and gaming has a unique ability to evoke those feelings and transport me back to simpler times. Playing these classic games reminds me of why I fell in love with gaming in the first place.

When block blast unblocked board starts to get crowded, always keep space for larger blocks. Don't let the board fill up too quickly or you'll run out of space for larger blocks, which can easily lead to a "game over".
