I did notice that there's a slight loss in picture quality, does that happen to minimize the disk space usage on AU?

It's really really slight, I think I just noticed because I'm super noise-sensitive. I had to make sure it wasn't just my eyes playing tricks, and that's how I realized the file sizes were compressed/reduced from the original files we posted here, to the AU files.

So, I've got some, but I know they are .png's (that's the format I usually work in) so they'll need to be converted to .jpg.
Also there is a lot. Sorry.



Also, just a thought... if there is a lack in a certain area (example, wallpapers of aragorn, or something like that) you could post a thread, sort of like the contests we do, and just have everyone work on a batch of whatever you specifically need... Then put a new one up in a couple weeks asking for something like banners of gollum and everyone will go off and make those for you too.

In this thread it states you guys need icons and banners; do you still need them?

What happens when they are made, will they go on the front page?

I want to make them I am but I am curious to see where they go. I also need to know if there is a specific character or anything like that.

I think the banners creates are just used in people's sigs and stay in the thread. But whoever makes them will have to have a host site for them (if I understand it correctly) so they can give a url to the people to use in their signature.

After that they just stay here in the thread and in the host site. If they are ever removed from the host site the irl image link in the forum member's sig that ises them will no longer work and they will loose their signiture image.
