The literature section has one of these, so I thought, why not have one for TV shows too? The point is, if you watched an amazing TV series, and want to recommend it to everyone else. (Or are a huge fan, but don't know if there are other people on here like it too, you could post about it and find some to talk about it to. 'Cause, come on, we have all hoped that about our fave shows.)
I'll get the ball rolling.
1. Once Upon A Time. This will always be at the top of my recommend list. Perfect balance of fantasy and real world. Taking a new and better look at some old classic fairy tales.
2. Humans. This is a TV series I discovered recently, and just love it. It is a sci-fi/drama, set in an alternate present day London, England, revolving around a group of androids (Synthetics, or "Synths") who have the freewill and feelings making them almost human, unlike most Synthetics who just follow their programming. Really, this story is amazing. The series only has 8 episodes, but it had me hooked right to the end. The plot is deep and thought provoking.

Makes sense to me! lol
Well, most of mine are going to be older (save a few) but here is a list of some of my favorite series.
Zoids (Quite old and mostly only the very first series. The following ones were not as good)
Starwars Clone wars (All of them)
Star Gate SG1 (Until they replaced the original crew then it was not as good)
Star Gate Atlantis
And my newer option from Netflix, The "How To Train Your Dragon" series, Race to the Edge

]I do enjoy Once Upon A Time. I didn't watch it until season 3 or 4, then binge-watched all the back episodes. Good to see #6 coming up.
I liked watching Stargate SG1 back when it was running, and Atlantis was alright, but didn't really fill the SG1 shoes. Good series both.
For me, as far as current series go, I have to go with Vikings, and Rake (the Aussie series with Richard Roxburgh, not the crap U.S. adaptation). Offspring is quite entertaining as well. And I love Claire Danes in Homeland!
Some of the old series I can watch again and again is The Twilight Zone, Combat, Barney Miller, Tour of Duty, Mash, and of course, The original Star Trek. quite dated yes.

I don't have very many new shows that I watch and the list got even less since Person of Interest just ended it's run. But for current shows I would say. Agents of SHIELD. Is pretty interesting to watch. They have thrown in minor characters from the movies occasionally from Agent Sitwell to more prominent characters like Lady Sif and Agent Maria Hill. NCIS Los Angeles. Is also good.
Out of old shows I would suggest. Disney's Zorro. Guy Williams does an excellent job as Zorro. It's pretty hard to find and expensive now days. Glad I got it before the price really jumped. But you can find episodes on youtube. Bonanza. Really good show, hopefully they release the rest of the series on dvd. So far they have the first 8 released. The Andy Griffith Show. The Dick Van Dyke Show. Family Matters The Cosby Show. Yes I still like this show even after everything that has happened with him recently, the show is still good. Home Improvement.
That's all for now I guess.

The Fall. I really can't recommend it enough. It's a crimedrama show, taking place in Scotland and it stars Gillian Anderson (X-Files) and Jamie Dornan (50 Shades of Grey) and it's just spectacular. It's on Netflix in case anyone wants to check it out. Even if you just check out a trailer I really recommend it. Not simply because the show is good but because the main character Stella (Anderson) is such a great icon for feminism.

I noted Gilian Anderson. Is it anything like X-Files? I think I watched about every one of them three or four times.

Gotcha. Looked up the trailer and it seems kind of sad... lol The part where the dad comes in with his kid on the stairs...

It's a very adult show, not like some shows out there that has funny moments. It's more serious than that and it deals with some heavy things.

Yeah, it looks like it. I think the sad/depressing-ness of it is what would get to me the most, honestly.

Pushing Daisies. If there ever was a television show that perfectly distilled my brain and put it on a screen, this is it. The dreamy aesthetic, the fairy-tale romance, the wacky "out-there" humor, and the overarching morbidity premise is just my cup of tea with my favorite chocolates on the side. Eight years later and I'm still mad it was cancelled.
Sherlock. TV doesn't get much better than this.
Downton Abbey. They didn't always hit it out of the park, but I'd still recommended to anyone because it's so beautifully filmed and wrapped up so satisfyingly that I think it's a great journey to go on.
Blackadder III & IV. Some people might prefer the early ones, but I think the last two are the best. So smart and so drily funny, and last episode goes right for the heart.
MASH & I Love Lucy. Putting these two classics together because they're still hilarious, after all these years.
