Do you happen to know what kind of instrument that is that the lady is playing with a violin type bow? That's a really neat looking instrument!
was going to share one of my own but I can't get the link to work again... Maybe because I am on my phone. I will try later from my laptop.

I believe it is a Swedish Nyckelharpa, sometimes referred to as a keyed fiddle. It dates back to at least the 14th century in Sweden, though it is likely much older (Vikings may have picked it up from somewhere on their vast travels). Popular with Scandinavian and northern European folk music.

I remember my mom and dad watching them. They were really good!
This was one of the bands I got to see at the festival. Got to meet and talk to the lead singer and the drummer. They were really cool. They're sound is kind of like Flyleaf when Lacey Sturm was the lead singer.

Wind and Fiddle
A fiddle sang inside the hall, She sang so wildly, so gently of love. Outside, the wind sang through the branches: "What is it that you want, child of man?"
The fiddle sang inside the hall: "I want happiness, I want happiness!" Outside, the wind sang through the branches: "That is the ancient lay."
The fiddle sang inside the hall: "Can it be ancient? It is new to me." Outside, the wind sang through the branches: "Many have yet died of regret."
The last fiddle note trailed off, The lights in the windows flickered and died. Yet, for a long time, In the dark woods the wind sang on and on.
A somewhat accurate translation from old German. Elisabeth Pawelke and Fiona Frewert made such a beautiful singing duo when they were in the band 'Faun' together!

It was too cool that the late eighties Vietnam TV show 'Tour f Duty' had this song as their opening theme!

Not much of a "video" but I couldn't seem to find one with more than them just singing it and standing on stage and this one had better sound quality so...
I have honestly never liked this song much, but they do a wonderful job.
