Hello :bye2:

Sharing with you my musical interpretation of "All woods must fail", reciting by Frodo when walking with the other hobbits through the old forest;
Just so in love with Tolkien's writtings! So beautiful..

I must say I was very impressed as well!! I loved the melody!! It spunded quite like something I might expect to hear from middle earth.

What types of music did you base it off of or did you just come up with it all on your own?

Hanasian: Hey, thank you very much for your feedback. So nice to read, made me so glad!
thanks also for mentionning "Shamayim", it means a lot to me

Jax Nova: I am honored you love it; I come with it on my own, here's how It happends for this one and the others tolkien's poem I am creating on: I just read it, and the melody come with the reading. Singing the words gives meaning to the text for me. It help me to understand and to express my emotions through it. So I do it kind of intuitivaly. The sounds comes with the words, as if you were reading the text to someone I think, only difference is I am singing it (..does it make sence?)

You have a lovely voice Améilhie. It makes sense to me.... the reading brings a melody to mind, and by singing the words it develops more emotion and draws even more emotion out of the words! I look forward to other poems you do this with. Thank you for sharing!

Yes, that does make sense. I've always done music so I understand to an extent how that works with the melody just coming with the words.

It certainly shows (as does your vocal ability) a good musical talent.

I'll second Hanasian's sentiments. Thanks for sharing and look forward to hearing more. :)

A lot of his works have been made into music. Many metal bands are very Tolkien influenced and I'm a fan of them.

This group is great. The entire Song of Durin. It sounds so Dwarven as well. It's a favorite of mine.

This artist is also great. Her voice is haunting.

The same artist, but these are her own works that were inspired by the Song of Durin.

Agreed. It's really cool that they have been lit to music.
