I posted this in the 'Help and suggestions forum but thought I'd put it here where it tends to get used the most.
To get a youtube vid to display using the 'youtube' coding button in the reply box, there is a couple things you need to do to make it work....
1st - Copy the youtube URL from the browser you have the video playing on. Make sure this is the direct URL, not from a playlist or from a continuation from another video or from clicking the sidebar of videos. Also, the 'embed' url that youtube provides won't work either. It has to be the direct URL to the video copied from the browser. One would think it shouldn't make a difference, but it does as the extra routing code in the URL from these other sources makes it inaccessible when using the code here.
2nd - After you click the 'YouTube' code button and paste the direct URL between the YouTube code, you must then (this is the key) remove the 's' after the 'http' and before the ':'. The s is for a secure url, and it wont allow linking with this code.
Do these two things and check if your youtube vid displays when you click 'Preview'.
