Hello Luthien, and welcome to the forum! All we really do here is talk, sometimes about LotR (there are like six different boards divoted to it), sometimes about our lives, and sometimes about nothing in particular!

If you want an avatar, just go to the gallery and grab one, and for banners, you can go request one from the Requests thread (is that what it's called? I haven't been around the other parts of the forum lately).

Don't rely on me though. There are others here who could give a MUCH better explanation than this one.

Greetings and Luthien. I'm Elenriel or Elen for short. It's very nice to meet you. I'm so glad you decided to join.

Basically just have fun posting here while making new friends. We have a variety of different threads where you can post to your hearts content. As mentioned, if you want a graphic, we have a request board where there are a lot of graphic makers you can request from. We also have a randomness section where you can post basically any random idea you want. If you like role-playing games, I know there are quite a few threads in there. Plus, there are a bunch of LOTR topic threads.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask. We are all willing to help you.
