Right, soo, possible hooks for anchoring:
- Three shieldmaidens are hoping to raise bail for Helda: will they be able to reach Amarwen or will they be waylaid?
- Vinyarion has be deprived of a dance partner by his father and goes in search of Almara: will he find her or not?
- Where is Halvarin? Waiting in the gardens for Amarwen or under his father's thumb?
- What is Calimir going to do? He had earlier thoughts of ruining the betrothal by highlighting to Therald the danger his daughter would be in. But now, well, now he has seen Vinyarion do his best to charm Amarwen. Will he seek to pit father against son?
- Eldacar...Therald told him there was nothing between Amarwen and Halvarin but does that hold up now?

I've actually got some ideas about Vinyarion and Almara's dance that could possibly play into things.
I won't take control of Vinyarion, though. I want his response to be "organic" if you will. Something from someone who doesn't know where I am going with it.

Sorry, I quite frequently forget to check this thread! :/ I'm good with the way things went. It was mainly Girdean that I was going to use, though I can always come up with something with Vinyarion if their acquaintance continues. I'm flexible. (So I tell myself.  )

Apologies for the big post - wanted to do something from a range of perspectives and hope that does not muddy the waters (Helda, Amarwen, Aldamir & finally Vinyarion).
On that final Vinyarion, I was trying to work in a hook that might work for Gersemi? The young princling has himself some gambling debts and his daddy has refused to bail him out... Might offer some leverage, if not then all good.

Ok - I won't do anything on the Girdean/Gersemi & Vinyarion front myself.
Any acquaintance between those characters is your concept Jax and you're best placed to advance it as such.
