The first two episodes of a new (2018) seven-part series about pop / rock music, possibly centering on a German TV show that horrified parents in the late 1960s when it started, as it had to my utter surprise most of the giants of the period appearing in it (practically none of them German at the time). With a lot of good stuff including current interviews with the luminaries of the 1960s and 1970s (and a short detour to the 1950s), showing how old if not ancient some of them (the survivors) are now by necessity, and also interviews with members of later bands influenced by the movers and shakers of perhaps the best rock period, about 1965 to 1975. Have to keep a sharp eye out for the next five episodes, and also for a possible DVD release.  _________________
