"No..I'm fine..I just need some sleep." she said, yawning.

Miranda looked back at him, then smiled softly and turned to Ben. "I guess we should move on." Ben nodded and they continued to walk. At nightfall, they set up a makeshift camp, and Miranda began to take pieces of material off of her sleeves to begin to tend to everyone's minor wounds. She looked up at Elizabeth and asked, "Do you have any scratches or cuts?"

Miranda nodded, then looked at Nathan and Samuel, who shook their heads. She finally looked up at Gabriel, half-knowing his answer already but not assuming anything.

He nodded slightly and pulled his sleeve up to his shoulder, revealing one of his newer wounds.

Miranda nodded and straightened some of her makeshift bandages while scooting over beside him. She took some of the drinking water she had gotten from a creek and moistened the cloth, then began to dab at it. He twitched slightly, but that could have been from the cold of the water. She looked up at him, then back down to his wound and continued cleaning it, asking, "How did you get this?"

Gabriel said, "I saw her, and acted upon inscinct, thought I got my shoulder sliced."

Miranda nodded and finished cleaning the open part of the wound. She took out another piece of cloth and began to wrap it. "I'm sorry," she said quickly when she accidentally touched an open part of the wound.

"It's allright." he said, smiling slightly.

Miranda looked up at him and smiled back softly, then finished and tied the makeshift bandage. "There you go...sorry if it doesn't help, but I don't have much to work with," she said, shrugging and trying to laugh.

"I'll be fine...I'm not sure about Elizabeth though...she seems really wearied, but at the same time, restless." he commented looking at Elizabeth, who was fiddling with her father's medallion.

Miranda looked over. "I know...it seems like there's something else bothering her..." She looked at him. "Did anything happen to her while she was captured?"

"I don't know..."

Elizabeth sighed and she placed her medallion down. She was thinking about that wretched Tavington, but another voice in her mind was making her start to admire him. She sighed and stood up, and brushed her skirts off before walking closer to the creek.

Miranda nodded while watching her and looked down. She became aware of Gabriel's presence again, and looked up. She smiled. "I should go help Mr. Martin. G'bye...Gabriel." She said, for once uncomfortable about saying his name. She turned quickly from embarassment and went to help Ben set up the camp.

Elizabeth sighed and she looked at Ben. "Mr. Martin, what do we do now?"

"I don't know.." said Ben. "I'm thinking about leaving the children with my sister-in-law."

She nodded, and then leaned against the tree suddenly as a wave of dizziness came over her.
