Minara snatches it back with a sigh. "You're lookin' at it upside down, numbskull..." She turns it the right way up and shows it to him. "But it's not as though you could read it, anyways... It's written in Atlantean..." Minara sets it back down on the table and pulls out a bunch of other papers, the first and last have creases down the middle as though they have been folded. "Now, would you like t'know what it says?...."

Devina snapped out of her sleep, and gave Cjhris an uneasy look "There is a door. Next time nock." she snapped, and got up. "So, whats up?"

"Good news so far..."

Chris took his hat off.

"No sign of Jack or that crazed friend of his, the men seem to be doing their job after some lessons and the ship is sailing towards it destination at the moment so I predict that if Jack comes after us then we are going to be first at this island of yours..."

"Great." Devina grunted. "How about the weather? And are you looking for food? I havent eaten for ages- in fact I cant remember when the last time was..." she added with a sly grin.

"Sure I´ll get some of the crew mates to get you some food..."

Chris called someone on the deck and put him on it.

"But the weather seems calm... perhaps too calm.. we move slowly in the end, but so will Jack..."

"Thank you. Will you be having something?" Devina asked as a rugegd man brought her a bowl of steaming broth. "Or do you wish to rest. I can gurantee that tomorrow will be tirering..."

Chris took a chair and sat on it, he looked at the rugged man as a sign to get him one too and Chris turned back to Devina.

"You never planned to be a pirate did you?"

Devina turned on him with wide eyes "No...I...I didnt...My mother was a rich woman, I was expected to take her place one day. We sailed were sailing to Port Royal, she owned a Coca plantage (sp?). Fountinhead. But we were entered by my fathers ship ; the 'Black Angel', and he killed her, and took me." Her face grew cold "I...He killed her right in front of me. It was awfull. He shouted at her ; what he had made of his daughter...Why I wasnt a boy..." she trailed off playing with her single ruby earring.

Chris scrathed the back of his head.

"A sensetive subject eh? Well I have no clue about my family, they are probably dead all tough they were alive when I was captured. You see the crew of the Bloody top happened to be quite lazy and needed someone to clean the decks so they captured me in, but in time I earned my place in the crew... until the ship was sank, that group was my family if anything..."

"I know the feeling." Devina mumbled, sniffed loudly and turned away shortly.

Chris received his food and nodded as a small thanks, he ate some and continued the conversation as he kept a small brake from eating.

"So... when did you first meet Jack?"

Minara looks up at him for a moment and then just shakes her head in despair at him. She sighs, then says, "Alright, look here...." Minara sets the map down on the desk and smoothes it out, then stabs a dirk into the corner to hold it to the desk. The map has no real drawings, only scribblings of the odd language in odd patterns around its edges, and in the middle in intricate designs.
Pointing to the scrawling symbols, she pulls the first and last papers from the other stack of parchment. "Now, since this isn't written in Atlantean, translating it is very hard.... Unless you have the right keys..." Minara waves the two folded papers in front of Jack, folds them, inserts the one into the other through a small flap, and holds it up for him to see. "English to Atlantean...." On one side is the English alphabet, and on the other is the Atlantean alphabet, which only looks like gobbledygook.
"This took me almost 50 years to obtain..... Got it from some old Professor, who got it from his crazy uncle..." She shrugs, then stuffs the papers back in a drawer and locks it. "But that doesn't matter..." Minara gestures to a triangular symbol, which is one of the only drawings on the map, and inside the triangle is a funnel.
"It seems that on the third of November, on a full moon, every two hundred years, an inverted waterspout opens up in the Bermuda Triangle...." Leaning back in the chair, she turns to face Jack. "Over twenty thousand years ago, Atlantis was a major empire.... The only empire... Some sort of earthquake happened, and the sea split open, swallowing the city, which was on an island located in what is now the Bermuda Triangle.... The only reason the Bermuda Triangle is the way it is today is because of that earthquake...." A wicked smirk crosses her face. "And the only way to get to Atlantis is to be swallowed up just the way Atlantis was over twenty-thousand years ago...." Minara's smirk turns into an eerie, spectral laugh.

Minara throws back her head and laughs, almost uncontrollably, at the look on his face. When she finishes, she composes herself, but wicked mirth still glitters in her eyes. "Yes, that is it in a nutshell...." Her grin becomes fanged, but only for an instant. "I figured you seemed crazy enough, besides, you ain't got nothin' t'lose.... A little water ain't gonna kill you..." She smirks cruelly.
