Jackie made a face as if to say, 'Ooooh...ouch.' "I'm sorry..." she said. She didn't want to press the matter any more, as she had already seen his temper more than once, and Elizabeth seemed to be a particularly sensitive area.

Devina threw her head back "You are. You just bought a ship." she laughed. She turned to Will and hung an arm around his neck "No need to worry. She must be bonkers to say no to a man like you..."
Will blushed and looked around at the three women.

Jackie bit her lip and waited for the fireworks to start. "Well," she said quietly, "I think I'll just check our bearings..." she headed into another room. Because of her educated background, she often helped with technical matters, such as navigation.

Jackie poked her head through the door and looked at Will. She walked back in and said, "I bet that was a bit uncomfortable for you, huh?" She and Will were good friends, but she was one of the few women on board who understood that he was <i>TAKEN</i>. They had a sibling-like relationship anyway.

As Devina let go of Jack's throat, Jack squirmed out from under her and decided not to hang around his 'crew' anymore, for he feared for his life. He crawled on all fours, hoping not to get noticed in the dark weather. He made his way towards the lower deck.

Jack noticed he was crawling right under Jackie. He stared for a few moments at the wet wood underneath him before he cautiously rose to his feet holding his arms infront of him for defense. He then replied back to her saying, "Jackie..."

Jack went to give her an answer, but then stopped for an odd reason. He pulled a serious face and looked at her with his dark eyes and said very clearly, "Because..." He swayed around and took off his overcoat and started to ring it out.
