Jaden stoped as the sounds of the wolves grew closer, But he didn't seem woried.

"Stay here," Jaden jumped off his horse.

He walked towards the sounds as the wolves appeared in the dimlight.

He quicky picked out the leader of the pack and reached out towards him. His hand began to glow, his fingers pulling slowly back.

A white light shot from his hand as his hand seemed to draw a temporary image of itself in the air. The wolf fell to the ground as yet another image raised from it's body and ran at Jaden.

The image jumped at his throte for the death grip, but Jaden raised his hand and in a flash of light the image disapeared and the wolf was once agains tanding not far away.

Hesatentily the wolf began to back off. A deep fear fell over the pack as the leader backed away from his position. And within a minute they all turned to a full retreat.

Jaden walked over to his horse. "How... you.." Ketra's voice broke up as he atempted to speak. Eleshna allso with a surprised look on her face.

"Your father never told you where we met did he?" Jaden asked Ketra.

"No..He didn't," Ketra admited.

At that Jaden said, "We should hurry." and he began to ride again into the night.

Eleshna didn't move, and was slow to follow. She was surprised at what she saw, but it also puzzled her. Urging her horse to a trot, she caught up and rode beside Jaden. "Where did he meet you?... please do not shrug off the question, it is of extreme importance..."

Jaden let out a heavy breath. He could see this path would lead where he had tried near all his life to stay away from. "But perhaps if I tell her some, it woun't hurt." Jaden thought.

"A very long time ago..." Jaden began, "I met Tren a long time ago, he raised me and tought me allot."

Jaden Paused for a moment before continueing as Ketra and Eleshna waited.

"The early years of my life were spent in a group of elite and.." Jaden seemed to be searching for the right word, "Unique wariors.

"We had ways, ways of taming wild beasts and altering, diverting, and even transforming nature to our will. But soon many became arogant, and proud with there power. So those of us who were still sane..." Jaden said not using the word Sane lightly... "took our leve of the group." Jaden said, stopping there.

"Sounds familiar..." Eleshna spoke softly.

"Did it ever cross your mind that those warriors were somehow decendants of the Kaiat?... and that is why the Maithiliat is after you?..." She suggested.

Jaden looked at the ground as the horses walked along.

"I don't think that's possible... More than likely they were Kaiat." Jaden said sadly.

"None of us are from this world you see. Somehow, we were...transported here. My home was quite different from this world, the oposite realy." Jaden admited.

"Those of us who suffered similar fates joined as a group called the Sion. Unforunately there were more of us who were evil instead of good. After I left the group I assumed the roll of half human half elf to explain the powers that I had been tought, and to explain why I didn't look like an elf."

Jaden's heart sunk, the last thing he wanted to do was revive those memories. But it was not kind to decive one of the few who would aid him.

Eleshna bowed her head thoughtfully for a moment then glanced at Jaden. "I am sorry I asked you to bring those memories to mind... I was only attempting to sort the problems..."

She smiled slightly and tried to lighten the mood, "so... does the Maithiliat possess any strange plunders other than tablets within the cave?"

"It's alright." Jaden ashured her.

With a slight smile Jaden thought back to the time he entered the cave the first time. "I don't know, I didn't make it past the first room before runnign into Azher. Then I released him and minuets later as I looked around the Maithiliat appeared out of the shadows." Jaden answered.

"So, what is it that has made you so skilled at remaining unoticed? I would like to know more about the skill myself." Jaden switched subjects off himself as the group pressed onward at a slow walk, partly because of the fact that he was not used to talking about himself and it made him uncomfortable, and allso in a genuine desire to know the answer to his question.

"Silence, slow graceful movement, and an elven cloak," she replied with a slight smirk. "In addition to that, it is many many years of practicing the skill, and learning lessons by getting caught when one makes mistakes."

"I see. Sounds like my life as a warior. Affter Trent left I learned by getting injured. After I got injured I owuld go over and over the scenerio in my mind until I knew just how to counter it. Thankfully I rarely fell for the same thing twice. If I had I might be dead." Jaden replied.

The group was now entering the uncharted lands off the edge of most maps. But Jaden, last time he was there, had marked the way to the cave.

Eleshna smiled, "it takes a true warrior to realize his mistakes and correct them. Many who are full of themselves claim they make no mistake, then comes the fatal blow and they have no more chances..."

Glancing around, Eleshna was wary, as this territory was not known to her.

"I feel it is only the means I had to use to survive, not an exceptional skill." Jaden replied in a low voice.

It would not be long before they made it to the cave itself, and they would need to be carefull.

"To survive is an exceptional skill in and of its self..." Eleshna spoke quietly then became silent, not usually in the habit of keeping a conversation going.

Eleshna never got into the habit of getting to know her traveling companions too well, since she knew eventually she would have to go her own way. She lingered behind a bit of the ways and watched the two, letting out a quiet sigh.

Her face was shadowed as she glanced around, having pulled her hood over her head.

As Eleshna fell back Jaden and Ketra spoke of the past, Ketra proding him for information where his father was less than willing to share. But he found little more from Jaden than he had from his father.

Looking back at Eleshna Jaden could only guess as to her motives of staying behind. But he recognized in her the same fealings he had felt at times and knew that it was not something that he could help her with.

The night sky soon gave into a shimer of light along the horizen as the sun once again began to shine. The morning was silent and beutifle.

"The cave is just around the cliff." Jaden announced.

Eleshna came up beside them again as the dawn approached, and smiled at the welcome light. "Alae, i anor hilol," she whispered quietly.

Eleshna nodded at what Jaden said, and gazed ahead.

As the group walked around the cliff there was nothin that resembled a cave in sight.

"Where is it?" Ketra asked.

"When the Sion.." Jaden stopped realizing he had just named the gorup that he was unsure that he wanted to tell the name of. (to late now)

"The group I was in." He explained. "Came to this world they brought with them technologies that were soon lost. One thing remains known and that is the shield that protects the cave mouth. It appears to be a water fall that feeds this river, but the water fall is not there the spring for the river is in the ground below." Jaden said as he walked into the water fall and disapeared behind it.

On the otherside he was untouched by the water.
