His tears stop as he pulled a serious face. He didn't want to say this, but he knew he had to. "That's the worst part of it...." His blue eyes glistened from the wet water that was clearing from them. "I'm a kidnapper." He didn't wait for her to respond as he leaned out of his chair into her face with a desperate look on his face, "And look at me! Would you believe that I was the type of faun that would meet an innocent child in the woods, pretend to be friendly with it, and invite it home to my cave...all for the purpose of lulling it to sleep, and then handing it over to the WHITE WITCH!" His eyes grew as big as walnuts, and he held his hands infront of his mouth.

Lucy was shocked and scared but she didn't believe he would do it now. "You can't now you mustn't you told me." She spoke in scramble up of words very worried. "Please may I go home?"

Mira listens, knowing the child is right in that he can't do much else but let her go home, now that he's told her. She decides to wait a bit longer and see what really transpires.

Mr. Tumnus' eyes grew big and he started to think about this, "But...but if I don't..." He grabbed his tail, "She'll find out! And she'll have my tail cut off," He then touched his horns, "And my horns sawed off and..." He touched his beard gently, "And my beard torn out!" He then drew his arms in close to his chest and said, "But if she's especially angry with me, she'll turn me into stone!" He jumped up out his chair, "And I'll be nothing but a statue in her horrible house!" He pointed in a direction where her castle was.

Mira nods, a fierce smile gracing her usually serene features. "Good... That's what traitors deserve, whether it's us doing it or the Witch doing it, traitors deserve death and a lot worse....How a anyone could turn over a mere child to that monster is beyond me......" She continues to listen, prancing about in the snow agitatedly and wishing it weren't so cold, for about the 7,000th time.

"Oh dear Mr. Tumus please let me go home. You must please." She pleaded with him staring straight into his eyes with kindness and trust. She pitied him but she in no way wanted to meet the witch. And she did not believe Mr. Tumus was all that way.

Mr. Tumnus looked up at Lucy feeling the guilt swell in his heart. "Of course I will." He sniffed, "I've got to. I've never known what humans were like before I met you." He then scurried to retrieve his scarf and wrapped it tightly around his neck. He also grabbed his umbrella and said, "But we must be off at once!" And in a flash Lucy and Mr. Tumnus made their way back to the lamp post.

"I think I can see the wardobe door from here. Well good bye." She said smiling at him kindly. "And thank you for the lovely time." She said even quieter. Since he had warned her about the woods being filled with spies.

"Yes, yes you can." Lucy gave him a quick hug then started towards the light. She turned around once to see him wave to her. She smiled and soon was at the entrance of the wardobe.
She closed it. Then heard voices not to far away.
She knew they probably had been worried sick about her. She rushed out when she saw them.
"I'm back. I have come home!!!" She said with much enthusiasm.
