Hi folks, I was wondering how do you communicate with others in the retail business? Do you keep in touch with colleagues or even competitors? Do you attend events to network or is it more of a solitary journey? I'm trying to understand how people navigate the industry, would love to hear your thoughts!

That's a great question! In my experience, having a circle of like-minded people in the retail business is very important. I network with people in the industry on a regular basis: casual meetings, social media groups or more formal gatherings. I can confidently say that retail networking events have been a game changer for me - there's nothing better than sharing experiences with people who really understand what you're going through. You learn so much, and it's not just about business, but building relationships that can last for years. I highly recommend finding your tribe - it makes the journey so much more rewarding.

I'm very new to the retail scene, and honestly, I don't have a large social circle in this space yet. It's been a little difficult for me to navigate everything on my own, but I'm really looking forward to making connections. I think going to some of the networking events might be a good place to start, and I'm hoping to find mentors or even just friends to help me along the way. It's a little intimidating, but I know it's very important to my growth in this business.
