Who here actually had a feeling that the Half-Blood Prince was Snape?

Quote: But, if Voldie tells his followers everything why would Snape use veritaserum on Voldy?
He doesn't tell his followers everything. They don't know about the Horcruxes. Lucius Malfoy didn't know what that diary was.
Have you guys ever been to the The Harry Potter Lexicon? It's amazing. Everything you could possible want to know is on that site. An example of it's incredibleness: For every book there is a day-by-day calendar of what happens in the book, differences between american and british versions, mistakes that have been changed, and most amazingly a "reader's guide" that for each chapter, gives a brief summary of what happened, commentary on interesting parts of the chapter (with references to later books), a list of characters introduced/returning/mentioned, a list of locations, a list of "exceptional character moments", a list of spells used, definitions of british terms used, and memorable lines. And each character/location/spell listed is a link to another part of the lexicon to get more information on each one.

Well, kind of...
I knew Hermione was on to something when she talked about Snape's mother, Mrs. Prince, but I didn't research any farther into it. It still came as kind of a shock though.

It had a strange way of revealing who the Half-Blood Prince was though....everyone was trying to figure it out and then Snape blurts it out whilst on the run...

I didn't have the feeling it was him. ^^it is strange how it came out; it wasn't a dramatic finale to our question. It was just...there.

Yeah...
I thought Harry, Ron, or Hermione would figure it out sooner or later. Especially when Hermione mentions Snape's mother, Harry finds the potions book with the spells written in it, and Snape can magically heal Malfoy when Harry uses one of the spells in the book on him.
It all seemed to add up, but I jus didn't get it.
When you find out, it wasn't like, oh of course it would be him, why didn't I think of that.
It was more like, whoa! What just happened?

Funny thing people were debating about it too.
Some said it would be Snape.
Then with some dissuasion, they would say it was Seamus, or Neville, or Hagrid even.

Well, as I said earlier - I kind of figured it out after a few chapters. Hermoine made it a dead give away really. But the way he came out (ha ha ha - sounds like he's "coming out" . . .) just shouting it as he runs away with Draco (okay. . . I'm starting to scare myself with the way I'm writing this . . .) just was, well, weird. That's what I didn't expect. It was really blunt and just. . . like I said: weird. It didn't seem "Snape-like" if you know what I mean.
Hmmm...
And about the thing of Voldemort and Snape. I think a couple of you cleared it up, but I distinctly remember Dumbledore saying something along the lines that Tom Riddle was a one man kind of guy. He basically used everyone around him. He's just using the Death Eaters. There is no one true, most loyal, favourite follower. He may hint at that, but only to get what he wants. He's not going to tell them everything, obviously. Very little in fact. (That's my theory) He may say things, just to get his followers going . . . you know. But I highly doubt they know anything of his true intent. Which means, none of us do.
Okay, that leads me to a question I had earlier - but it was among a bunch of nonesense. Do we KNOW, I mean actually KNOW what Voldemort is planning to do? I mean, I have absolutely NO recollection of what he is going to do. Take over the world? Just kill Harry? Kill Harry for what? Just immortality? If the Death Eaters know that all he plans on doing is to kill Harry, JUST for immortality - well they'd have to be pretty thick to keep following him. Oh I don't know.
But Snape using Veristerium (?) is the most logical and brilliant idea. Considering, if you follow my theory, then no one knows anything about Voldemort/Tom Riddle. And using that, Snape would be able to get a GOLDMINE of info, not just ON Voldemort, but everything he knows....
EDIT: Okay, did I actually just make sense? Oh my god. What's happening to me? I'm losing my almight power of sarcasm!! Oh no! The right side of my brain has died . . .

What you say is true Montana though I can't help but mix evidence between movies and book evidence.
I always had the impression ever since book I that Voldemort's ultimate goal was to control the entire wizarding world and elimate all muggles, re-storing the world with only pure blooded wizards.
