Orien sighed through his nostrils, as he followed Knyn's gaze. The darkening sky only added a grotesque hue to the scene that was spread out pathetically before them. He lifted the black cloth back up to his nose again, and drew up his hood.
" ...I loved this place as well." He was speaking quietly to Knyn, though not looking at him. " This is a mere fraction of what is soon to come. I know it sounds ludacris, but if we are to stop this..We need an army."

Knyn continued walking at his rapid pace, listening attentively to any sounds but saying nothing.
They passed through the town without much incident. Before them, beyond the gates, stood the forest.

Rumour watches them walk out and down the street. She stares around at the desolation, sadness glittering in her jet black, reptilian eyes. She bends down and touches the ashes, her skin rippling eerily as they sift through her pale fingers. After a moment, Rumour starts off down the street, her body melting into the long form of a black leopard.
As she catches up to the two men, her form shifts back to that of the slender female. "I can get you an army....." [I'm back, people]
Knyn put a finger to his lips and nodded. He led them into the darkness of the forest. Heavy gray thunderclouds rolled overhead, threatening a downpour. They had better find shelter, and fast. Knyn knew what he was doing, and presently he found a small cave obscured by bushes. He pulled the vegetation aside and beckoned for them to enter.
"Now," he said softly. "You mentioned an army?"

Orien entered quietly, positioning himself against the wall of the cave, waiting for both to enter. He had seen worse conditions before, and compared to the prison, it was a palace.
" ..My mother must still be alive..That is why Dimitri is so frightened of having me on the loose. But why wouldn't he have killed her as well?" He slid down to a sitting position on a large rock, pondering to himself. The statement and question weren't directed at either of them, in fact, he was morely talking to himself than anyone.
He pulled one of his legs up, arm wrapping around it for support. His eyes were focusing on the almost black ground beneath him as he mused in silence for some time. He could have been a marble statue the way he remained tentavely still. Finally, after some length, he looked up at the woman.
" What was your name again, miss?"
