When the strike was made, the Maithiliat's battle growls and roars went silent, except for a sickening sound of hacking up blood, along with the loud boom of its body collapsing. At the second strike all went completely silent.

Eleshna dropped to her knees breifly as the ground shook from the creature's fall. "Slice out the heart... quickly..." she gasped out as she got to her feet again.

Jaden moved quickly to the beast where he cut into it with the sword and removed it's heart.

But Eleshna's earlyer instructions had vanished from his mind. For some reason he know was oblivious as to what came next.

"Now..." Eleshna spoke, took a deep breath then continued, "take the dagger and splice the skull, and remove everything, (then eat it! no no just kidding ^^ ) and bury both that and the heart." Her voice steadied and her eyes glinted as she focused her gaze on the Maithiliat.

Jaden followed her instructions as he worked with his hands in the maner that she spoke.

Soon the dager was being cleaned off and put away. Jaden then buryed everything in a whole.

"Is that everything?" he asked after he was finished.

Eleshna nodded her head numbly, but didn't sheath her sword. She glanced at each of them and then wavered slightly, leaning against a tree.

Thrusting her sword into the ground, Eleshna sank to her knees, gripping the hilt of her blade for support.

"Are you alright?" he asked her, bracing her so she did not fall.

Eleshna pushed away from Jaden, suddenly steadier than before, yanking her sword from the ground.

"Your task is finished, but I can't let you walk away alive..." her voice was her own, but her tone was harsher than it had been.

Jaden realized immediately what had happened.
He was sure it was Veron talking.

"If you do not releas her you will regret it." Jaden told him.

"I did not come here without insurance. There is another beast that can be awakened, a greater beast. A beast that created the Mathiliate. If you do not releas her, I will releas it. I did not tell Eleshna about it because I knew you could find out through her more than likely." Jaden warned him.

Eleshna looked puzzled for a moment but before she had time to think of what she was doing, Veron took control again.

"If you summon the beast then she would perish keeping it at bay while I am running. Call me a coward if you wish but it is the way I survive and the way I always will... we all do what we must to survivem after all, that is how she got herself into this mess. Now if you please, we have a sacrifice to make."

With a grim and determind expression, Eleshna moved forward with her sword, arching it in a smooth quick motion towards Jaden's side.

Jaden jumped back with a great leap landing far away from Eleshna. He sat down and consentrated as a white light again began to glow around him.

During this time Knox grabed the stone and spoke the words that would freeze Veron in time.

As Knox spoke the words, Eleshna gasped and dropped her sword, lurching forward towards the ground.

Catching herself with one hand as she slipped forward to her knees, she held the other over her heart, taking in gasping breaths as though in pain.

Jaden fell to his knees and brought all his power to him.

Focusing it on Eleshna he tried with all his might to force Veron out of her.

The white light streaming form him to her as he concentrated.

"No stop! " Eleshna gasped, "it'll kill me as well as him, then you.." she managed to choke the words out, fighting back tears as she tried to find the words to explain, but it was taking too much strength from her.

He looked quickly to Knox for an idea of what to do.

Eleshna could see the doubt in his eyes. "Jaden please... stop... don't freeze him yet... " she gasped the words out, her eyes filled with pain and pleading.

"We'll find a way ... I have a way.... then we can- " Eleshna gasped once then closed her eyes tightly, her breathing shallowing.
