well, let's try my luck at beginning my first ever contest... here goes nothing....
You pretend like you're writing a novel of your own making, but all you write are the beginning paragraphs/prologue. There are no specific rules but make sure it's at least a few paragraphs so that we may judge accurately and it must be fantasy related. It will be judged on how well you capture the readers' attention, writing quality, etc.
if you have any questions, ask. and I'm joining as well if nobody minds

I'll try to enter...I'm not sure how much time I'll have, but I should be able to get something in. What exactly do you mean by fantasy? (As in, are the restrictions on setting, etc?)

it doesn't really matter, anything fantasy related will do pretend like you're writing your own novel

I'm not sure if we can get them all in by the end of tomorrow, if not then next Tuesday's the deadline. I'll set up the poll on Tuesday or Wednesday. (I'll be going on vacation for four days on Saturday)
