I think Lewis just didn't like describing blood and gore in a children's book.

But even if it doesn't actually say that Aslan killed her, it doesn't seem likely to me that Lewis would bring her back without saying she's the same witch.

Most unfortunately.

Well, this whole Witch debate is confusing. I haven't read the books, so I don't know. But I think that if it is the same witch, that's really cool.

True Gwen but he did describe it pretty good in The Last Battle.

Did he? The saddest part that I remember was when the dwarves shot the horses...and even then he just something like "one by one, every horse fell to its death". I don't think it said anything like "it pierced their flesh and blood was sprayed into the air, and found all over the battle field!"
lol :P

Yeah, I think the closest C.S. Lewis got to describing gore was when he was describing Tash and his smell. ugh. *Retch* ;)

It does seem like in a battle there would have been blood mentioned, but all I remember is that he said who died... Which was, of course, quite enough.

Don't worry Gwen, I'll protect you. :)

The Last Battle was the spookiest of all the books. The first time I read it (when I was 9) it really freaked me out. The whole book was so sad. And then end had me crying th whole way through.

Awww. :) Yeah. It was such a rich ending! That one line almost sent the tears streaming: "Narnia is no more." ~Tirian

I absolutely love Tirian and Jewel!! They are the most noble beings I have ever known, even though they are fictional!

Indeed it was terribly spooky. But also one of the best.
