I completely understand your concern, but honestly, there is nothing to worry about. The sharks you will see near the reefs are usually blacktip or whitetip reef sharks, and they are extremely shy. They are more afraid of you than you are of them. Larger sharks, such as whale sharks, are actually the main attraction, and they are gentle giants.
